I send a txt and it takes 15 minutes for someone to recive it I do a test by sending one to myself and i have not recieved it since 8p.m The only reason i am with them is because of the free texts but there is no point if the texts dont even get sent, or take 15 mins to Arrrrgggghhhh

Thats terrible actually!...I was thinking of switching over to O2 since all my friends have switched...but if thats the case then i'll just stay with orange.

Posted by Lynx69
Yeah, if i was you i would not go near O2, what other payandgo tarrifs are good? I mean what other networks have good payandgo tarrifs.
I still havent recieved the one i sent myself.

You get what you pay for! O2 is cheaper but coverage is worse and i've only joined for a while. Idealy i'd have an orange contract but i dont know if i'm going to university in the republic yet.

I think Orange has the best coverage and service by far...and i will stay with them and i would urge u to change to orange aswell.

Are there any other operators that offer free text messages on payandgo because i use more than 300 texts per month which would cost me 30GPB(i think, at 10p per message), but i get them free at the moment.

[edit] I was just texting some girl like half an hour ago and she only just recieved it and was wondering why i took so long to send it
If this doesnt get any better by Saturday im going to change.

i know what u mean im with o2 most of the time i dont have any problems but on a few occasions ive text my mum or mates and it takes 24 hours to get the message and sometimes they dont even recieve it

i also send loads of texts and have been thinking of changing only all my mates are with o2 plus i dont want to have to pay loads for texts

i dunno what to do, plus u get the free wap too and im on the net loads on my p900

so i wouldnt wanna pay for that either

its a no win situation lol

I've had nothing but good service from orange. If your prepared to go on contract you can get one from orange by phone or the website and you get better deals than instore like 500txts a month etc. I mainly used them because they offered free wap for £4 a month. Any one know if this is still available

I think O2 is having a bit of a go-slow this evening! A mate texted me at 20.25 this evening, and I actually got the text at 23.00! Normally, texts sent/recieved are almost instantaneous.

I switched from O2 to Orange mainly because their signal is better where I live, but I would otherwise have stayed with Orange - they're similar pricewise - but calls/texts are a lot cheaper with Orange (you have to subscribe to O2's ITS service to get anywhere near Orange's roaming prices), customer services were always excellent, and you could get delivery reports on text messages without having to put that '*0#' at the start of the message!!

If Orange's signal was better where I live, I would probably switch back to them as soon as my contract came up. In fact, my old Orange contract number I got re-connected as a pay as you go to use in a spare phone!

Ergo, I recommend Orange to you, cheap(ish) but definitely cheerful. Failing that - have you thought about the 3 network? £15 topup on 3Pay gets you either 100 x-net minutes & 1.50 of video content, or 25 mins xnet mins & 100 SMS's, and £1.50 video content.

i'll admit orange are by no way the cheapest but i find the service/coverage makes up for it

VODAFONE!!! It covers 99.9% of the UK!

yuck vodafone are the worst.

they have the worst phone branding die voda live die!
there customer services are poor
takes ages to get through to CS
their call plans are out of date and poor VFN
data services are rubbish
and their adverts are really annoying
and there handset prices are jokes

Why not try t-mobile? Decent prices for phones, cheap calls and text. Plus there coverage is as good as any other network! :-)

Posted by Lynx69
Im not switching yet because my parents wont let me go on contract because they dont want me getting a huge phone bill. I will be switching to t mobile on the mix it contract because you cant get a bill higher than the monthly line rental unless you top up :-D

hmmm...ive been using 02 for 4 years now and i can honestly say the only times ive ever had probs witht the txs n even calling is like when its midnight at the turn of the year n stuff but thas to be expected...ive never had bad service from them..even in coverage but id say orange is better than them there and vodafone and virgin are jus crap.

Posted by Neil Chen
In terms of functions, services and coverage i would say that orange are by far the best. They are more expensive though!

I've never had a single problem with O2. Coverage is fine and text messages work great. Only problem is they havnt released the k700i yet

Posted by Lynx69
Yeah, im happy now because O2 is working fine now but when it doesnt, its annoying.
