Got my MCA-20 today, and when sitting in my car and waiting for my GF to quit her work, it "hit me" that the MCA should fit in the bottom connector at my HCH-28, and it did
And took a pic while driving
I know its irresponsible to "play" with things when you drive - but I couldnt resist
The pic turned out quite ok, I couldnt rotate the holder in any better angle at the monent, so you see a lot of my dash board!!

Not bad! So do think the MCA20 is worth buying? Seems a bit pricey to me!
Ed
Posted by mrNoodles
Hi Ed!!
Yepp I got it "cheap" as a payment for helping a Company with a webpage
But I think its worth buying!! It takes some time to mail the pics, but Im sure it will bring lots of fun and joy!!!
Go for it Ed!!

@mrNoodle Does your pics also look like Shit on the phone...? Mine looks very nice on the pc, but on the t68i the pictures really are a lot worse than the pics I download from wap or transfere from my pc.. They're really brown/grey and too dark...
Posted by mrNoodles
When browsing them on the phone they sucks, but when mailing them (or IrDa) to the computer they looks much better (Not 100% like a digi cam. - but definetely ok! - webcam quality kind of)
Posted by HC
Yeah, that's it for me too.. Too bad..
Posted by lazarini
i payed 160 euro for it and im not sorry that i get it i think for the size of it it kicks ass !!

How many mega pixels is the MCA-20?
It seems very expensive when you can buy a 5cm x 5cm x 1cm digital camera which can hold 100 640x480 pictures or take a 10 second AVI(0.3Mpixel + 8MB mem) for only Ł40 (Euro 63) here in the U.K.
Is the spec of the MCA-20 that much better?
Posted by Cytech
it has 0.3 megapixels (640 * 480 = 307200)

So the MCA-20 is the same spec but 4 times the price.
I can't understand why it is so expensive.
Posted by mrNoodles
The quality of the pics can be compared to "webcam quality" but its fun, and when using a "normal" digi. cam you havent got the same options to mail the pics - at least not without a computer!
I mean this is not the kind of cam you uses for wedding pics or familypics at X-mas or likewise, but when youre at the beach or on vacation and sees something cool and with a "few buttons pushes" has sent what you just saw to your friends and family back home!!!
Buy it I dont think youŽll be disappointed!!

you can use a bluetooth equipped digicam

Yes I think I might have to get one! Like the idea of being able to take pictures from anywhere and mail or text them to a friend straight away. Would be great if you were on holiday!

Do you know which Cams that are

This one is actually a CamCorder, however, it has -of course- record still images.

Hehehe "strange" that you should mention Sony IP7, Ive been drooling over this Cam for a while, it must the No.1 to get - but its a bit to expensive!
But whats the reolution of the "still pics? Arent 640x480 the highest?

This picture of my baby boy, (12 hours old at the time), was taken from my Sharp VL-WD250H digital video camera. Quite clear at this size.

Does anyone have an MCA-10 and MCA-20 that they could post pictures here so the picture quality could be compared. What is the differences between the 2 cameras?

Yea I like a lot that camera is very small and with Bluetooth!
But i am not gonna buy it becouse is without a SuperNightShot...
I am gonna wait for the next version of the compoder...!

Agree with you!!
The SONY IP7, and IP5, are masterpieces!! The only thing they dont have is Nightshot.
And the size of them arent bigger then my CanonIxus300 Digital.
But they costs a lot to but as usual - you get what you pays for!!

hi all well in belgium we got the new camera for free from our phone providers and very nice it is to but does anyone know how i can transfere them using a data cable connected to pc and phone???
Posted by Perran
Did you even bother to read through the (rather old) thread??? It clearly states that there's no way to send the pictures over by cable.

Well, those little cameras that are cheaper would require you to take a laptop or PDA everywhere with you in order to transfer the picture from the camera to the phone.
Don't take me wrong, mind, I personally thing the camera is not value fr money - the pics are poo, and it costs a lot? - only advantage is if you do see something funny, you can snap it and MMS it to a mate, all in a matter of minutes. - much quicker than taking a superior picture on the little camera, transfering it to PDA/Laptop with USB cable, and then transferring it agin via IR to phone, and THEN sending it.
Camera is too dear - I got mine free (MCA-20) - I would NOT buy it - not at current price

i actually agree there i wouldnt of actually bought the cam but as a free bee they are kewl and pics are good as long as u have it on high quality but then i found that most hight quality pics are actually to big to mms grrrrrrrrr...... which is a shame because id really like to take good quality pics and send them to email addies of friends via mms
