Yea it gets a lot easier once you've gone back to have the large bar replaced. Need to leave the large one in for at least 2 weeks so the swelling goes down completly then go back and have it swapped for a smaller bar.
At first I was chewing on one side but you get used to it. Just be careful you don't catch the bar between your teeth while chewing. Chipped 4 teeth and shattered half a tooth while eating. All ok now. Went the dentist 2 weeks ago and they're all sorted now

its called chameleon ink and its reacts to ultra violet ink, excuse the spelling lol.
it took about 4 and a half weeks to heal and you cant see it at all now plan on getting my other arm done now, there is a doorman with a dragon on the side of his head in my town looks awesome.

Posted by Dicky Snapples
Uv tattoos do look cool. But there are alot of health issues with it, and thats why alot of artists refuse to use it

Posted by hutchygers
sounds good. so is it totally invisible in normal daylight.

Posted by Trev1982
it scars for a while but yes you cant see it even better hairs have grown back on my arm so you cant tell at all its really impressive, but yes there is some health issues with the stuff.

Posted by Dicky Snapples
anyone got any new work? i got the start of my 1/2 sleeve yesterday, ill upload pictures later tonight

Posted by Rookwise
Not had anything done for a while now. Thinking of getting my throat pierced again though.

i well like the idea of the UV one....

what are these health implications?

Posted by Dicky Snapples
"UV tattoo ink is not commonly known or used, as very few varieties of UV inks are approved for use in the US. This is because some people have had reactions to the ink, ranging from minor itching to dermatitis. Several UV inks are suspected carcinogens and allergens and at this time, no research has been conducted into the possible side effects of long term exposure. Some UV inks are known to yellow or turn slightly brown with sun exposure.
Many tattoo artists simply refuse to work with UV ink, because of the potential medical complications and the difficulty involved in the application process. In the past, many experts have advised against UV tattoos."

Posted by fatreg
meh....

the idea was it wouldn't be visable to the naked eye!

but if it can go yellow or brown that's no go!

Posted by Cycovision
You can see some of them in bright sunlight, too (not surprisingly)!

Can also cause problems if you tan easily, you end up with white lines.

I still think they're cool as f**k though!

Posted by fatreg
i tan very easily..

the joys of working outside you see

maybe i need to wait a few years til UV inks have come on a bit
