Looks like it's not a bluff either, I got the text today saying "Using o2 Active via GPRS? Our free offer ends on June 10th. See our website for pricing details etc...."
8 days to go.......

Will o2 customers on o2 talkalot online still get free WAP minutes?
Posted by BOSSHOGG
300 dial up as usual and 1mb gprs, i might have to buy one of those sims.
Posted by djpowelly
@Boss, do we get 1MB of free GPRS a month ON TOP of our 300 free mins?
Posted by webvictim
I think it'd be impossible to work a system where using some of your 300 minutes of GSM would knock off some of your 1mb GPRS allowance and vice versa, so at a guess you do get the 300mins and the 1mb GPRS. Could be wrong though.
Posted by djpowelly
I might get a GPRS bolt on... 1-3MB, I cant use much more than that!
Posted by Scally_cadet
Every now and then I get charged for GPRS. Ive had 18 months of free GPRS.
Posted by jonat8
I have just checked and I am getting charged
Posted by buckle247
yep also being charged, i didn't get 1mb free as i only used about 30k
unless the free 1mb doesn't start until we top up next
Posted by BOSSHOGG
I'm also being charged, BUT..............Ironically it's still totally free using my phone as a modem for my mac to browse the entire internet
Using the 193.113.200.195 proxy and port 8080 of course. This should also work on px00 and other proxy enabled phones.

Hey are u guys all using O2 Online?
I am using it on my P900 & I haven't been charged yet, 300k+ so far.
Will this be just the 1MB free or is it because I'm using Proxy Add 193.113.200.195 and Port 8080?
Will this Proxy thing start charging soon too?

Also I now get a message every time I disconnect from GPRS (including after receiving an MMS)
The message come like an SMS with the message tone and reads:
| Quote: |
|
It pops up on the screen automatically & when I press 'Done' it disappears & so does the message icon. It is also not in my inbox.
This is different to the normal balance alert like the one after sending an SMS. These are silent & just show a box with 'Balance £x.xx'
Is anyone else receiving these messages?

i get that too! i only have 1p credit though, so it's still free
Posted by djpowelly
I think O2 online (free txt and wap ppl) (@loz, u wit dat?) get 1MB free gprs a month, and there is a bolt on that give you 3MB of GPRS for £4 a month... which is good
I dont see why everyone is going "O2 are G@Y, they started charging GPRS", we have had it free for AGES, and its the charges arent exactly unfair, T-Mob (or another company..,. i cant remeber who...) charge up 2 £7 for GPRS per MB, and there is a bolt on... so..?

I don't get any free: I ain't topped up for a coupla months!

I realise this isn't a nokia site but you seem to know what you're doing and maybe one of you may know.
Does the 6310i allow these proxy settings? I can't find them anywhere.
Could i do it via a data cable?
Many thanks
