I was in my local cpw & found to my suprise the MPF-10 being sold for £10. Naturally i bought one. Great value, & to think the little blighters were originally £40! Its of more use as a torch i think. By the way, my mate has a z600. Would the flash work with it? Cheers!

lol i paid 60 dollars for it anyway it works with ALL se and some ericsson models (for an example i tried it with t39 and it works ok) the only problem with the p series is that you can't have an sos or stroboscope light..... but it works as a light with all models.....

Well i'll own up - get discount coz of the store i work in : 15% so i paid £8.50:-)!My branch is in Enniskillen in northern ireland. It should be available everywhere though.

Just picked one up in Ipswich - 9.99gbp.

Now - anyone care to tell me how it is supposed to work with a T610! It does not behave as the instructions say!!

Firmware possibly?

I can't get it to work with my Z200. It doesn't work with all models.

ANyone used it with a T610 and had it work as per the instructions?

I can attach it and turn it on, but according to the instructions I should :-

Press the flash button to take a picture.
TIP If the subject of the picture is too dark, light up the subject by pressing the flash button twice quickly and then press the flash button to take the picture.

Also - the instructions mention items in the accessory menu - I don't get those either.

Is there a minimum firmware rev for this to work properly?

ok, with your phone plug in the camera. In a few secs "Phone Flash - MPF-10" will come up on the screen. Push the button on the unit once. The LEDS will come on and the phone will go to the camera mode. Now press the button on the camera unit once again and hold it down whilst you line your shot up. the unit will be on at this stage. When you release the button the shot will be taken and the flash will go off. Thats how it works for me anyway.

Hope this helps.

@neil check PM mate

Neil - thanks, I plugged it in again and it started working! Must have been a bad connection

Perhaps you could give the contacts on the connector of your phone a cleaning. It takes a few seconds to power up. In any case its good that you've got it working.

mine was free...

I got mine a few months ago for £10 because I know a guy at a store, but they normally sell them for about £25.. Also some stores give it for free with every T610..

is it worth getting~?

Posted by ephil_24
Well, it's not perfect but it's helpful in low light conditions.. Also it has a couple of cool effects

Posted by Neil Chen
Well its better than the clip on led torch at this price!

I went into a CPW yesterday to get one for my son and was told, after the sales assistant looked it up on their system, that no CPW has any in stock and she also couldn't confirm this reduction in price.

no idea how true any of that was

Massuer, let me assure you that the Enniskillen branch in n.ireland had at least 3 for sale at £10. I'll check if they have any left this friday.

I've noticed that when a shop doesn't have any stock of a product, they tell you that there is a general lack of it and that you can't find it in any shop... I guess they do that just so that you won't buy from anywhere else until they have it!
