SE T230 - Service Centres around Merseyside

I have posted to SE but I have not recieved any response as yet.

I have recently been given at T230 for my birthday from my wife and on scouring this site 'SEARCH' I discovered about the firmware updates for the phone.

I contacted the O2 shop were it was purchased and they did not understand about the firmware...

"If the phone is broken bring it back in."

"It's not broken I am just trying to get the firmware update for the phone."

"Why doesn't it work properly?"

erm...

So I then contacted the Technical Support over at O2 they were more helpful though the assistant wasn't sure of where I could get the firmware update and said I may have to send it to the service centre in Sheffield (this could take 2 weeks+).

MY QUESTION

Does anyone know of a Service Centre where I can take my mobile phone to have the firmware updated?

I live in Newton-Le-Willows, Merseyside.

The nearest towns are St.Helens or Warrington

The nearest Cities are Liverpool or Manchester.

The Sony Ericsson people gave me straight away a phone number for a company less than 20 minutes away called Anovo Digicom, it costs Ł30 for the upgrade.

The number is

01925 403 808 and also 01925 403 800

BIG THANX! for the Sony Number - Which has lead me to this place.
