Rookie needs help with T39

I have just obtained a T39 and its the first phone I've had with ir,bt etc. I want to use it to connect my laptop to the internet. I dont have the first idea where to start. I have ordered a data cable to connect to serial port though I believe ican use ir or bt. So far I have loaded numbers from my pda via ir.
Can someone recommend a site source etc where an absolute beginner can find step by step help ?

The best solution would be to contact your operator, cos u ll need the settings from them aswell.

piper, your name remind me of the book i read last week.
well better use bluetooth dongle instead of cable.
btw, to connect all the gadgets of course you will need to install the driver for the connection method first (either the cable or the ir or the bt, shortly said the phone modem driver)
then dial up using setting given by the internet provider, usually *99***1#, that is a code to activate the modem, and of course the user, password, IP etcetera.

still hard to follow, then go to the sonyericsson T39m page, you can get complete information there.
