is it true bout the mms only works from samsung to samsung? That you cant send mms from samsung to a nokia or a sony ericsson? Thanks

Posted by Ayush
Not at all. This is untrue. I've experienced it myself.

Posted by superunknown
you mean you have successfully sent an mms from samsung to another phone like sony ericsson?thanks

Posted by Bianca
It isn't true. I sent mms from my samsung to nokia, SE and samsung

Posted by superunknown
can you receive mms from other phone models too? Thanks.

Posted by Dj Boyi
I think its just the mmf tones that may corrupt the mms if sent to a sony ericsson,@bianca,any experience with this?

Posted by Bianca
Yes i can receive from other models too. I only send mmf tones to other samsungs and siemens but i guess if i send it to a SE phone it just wont play it but the phone will receive the mms

Posted by superunknown
what about if a SE or nokia send you mms with attached tones. Does the tone play? Samsung v200 does not support poly? Only mmf tones? Thanks

Posted by Bianca
My phone also supports .amr and .mid files so i can play the tones sent by mms. I never had any problems or received a corrupt mms

@Bianca,i think super is asking if the samsung plays .midi tones

Posted by Bianca
Yes my samsung does

Posted by superunknown
last two questions to bianca.:-). What samsung are you using? And is sms writing is fast(t9)?

Posted by Bianca
I use the samsung e700 (untill the SE k700 will be released) I hate t9, i can't get along with that so i never use it but my phone has that option

Posted by superunknown
im planning to get a v200. Do you recommend it?thanks bianca and boyi mate:-).

Posted by Bianca
I don't have any experiences with the v200. It is an older model than the e700.

Posted by Ayush
@Bianca samsung supports only .mmf and not midi Yes super, any phone will recieve mms provided it's enabled

Posted by superunknown
thanks ayush mate:-)

Posted by Ayush
No problem

Posted by Bianca
@ayush: how come my phone is full of midi files and plays them all then?

Posted by Ayush
It must be mmf

Posted by Bianca
No it isn't. I am 100% sure. I download them of sites with only midi tones (www.polyphonicringtonez.com/wap) and i upload them from my pc and on my computer they are .mid files too. So at least my samsung does support .mid , .amr and .mmf
