There's another very similar, but soooo much cheaper...
it's by tiger and it has almost the same amount of features...
Just never took off, cause it was sold in toy stores for $200-$300
It did all the stuff like getting up when it fell, speach recognition, emotions...they even said it gained a personality over time and you could teach it!
Never really saw it in action though!

Sure it was in the guiness book of records, for selling x amount in the first 24 hours or something.

the latest one is around £1400 and, goes back to its charger when its out of batterypower, and uses bluetooth, connects to a vaio laptop. face recognition, knows if a stanger comes in the house, takes a pic and emails it to your phone, ms duo etc

my kids wanted Aibo and as much as I would have liked one too its just a price I couldn't justify
so I got them an i-Cybie each and they are great fun!
maybe if I see a decent priced Aibo on ebay I will go for it. I don;t like the latest ones with the round faces though

whos got that new sony humaniod thingymajig?? that heavy.... i heard summing about it being able to run i.e. with 2 robot feet of the floor. and it can fight!
