I just got the MCA-20 and it rocks. It's frickin amazing! The quality is very good. I use my camera to take photos of the people in my phonebook so I know who is calling. It helps alot.

I upgraded the MCA-10 to MCA-10 View and i use it with my T68i and store the photos in the My Pictures option and use the picture phonebook funtion its great,BTW the MCA-10 VIEW works with the T68m in case you are wondering (viewing the photos after they have been taken)

Posted by JiggyJaggy
jester can i ask how you managed to download those photos from your mca-20? when i try and send the photos via email server on my t68i it keeps failing!helllllppppp

Posted by Evilsummer
If you (like me) have the data cable to the T68 what program can you use to transfer photos beetween t68 and PC?

No I dont think it possible to send them thru cable, you only have IR, , MMS, EMail options - strange though

damn!!! then i might have to reconsider buying the mca-20 i donīt have IR and since i have Telia (gprs refill) it will be a little on the expensive side sending the pictures through GPRS all the time

Posted by mrNoodles
Yepp I understands that, Comviq GPRS is FREE until end of Oct.
Its a bit sad that you arent able to send them thru cable, at least I dont know how, and the manual doesnt mentions it.

Hehe it so cool and easy to use, this pic is little dark and fuzzy, but I just snapped it as fast as I could!! This gadget rocks!!
And my RC heli also

I just sent a mail to and asked them about it....

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Mr Noodles can i ask what the settings are on your t68i for you to be able to send that pic taken with your mca-20 via email.

i have a t68i and mca-20 but cant send from the phone via email!!!please help

Posted by mrNoodles
Its setuped in the same way as my "ordinary" POP3 mail account is.
Some ppl says it has to be done different then on T68m, that you has to use IP No. instead of a "server name" for ex. SMTP.SWIP.NET should be 130.244.199.223.
But mail login, and id are the same. I havent changed anything such as ports etc.

Can you send/recieve mails without pics?

on smtp= put the email addrss of your "mobile phone operator's" smtp address

username: xxxx@your email address
password: your email passwd.

i can send emails from the phone fine. its just that everytime i send a pic attachment it fails. do you think it could be anything to do with my network service provider and how much limit they set on sending pics or something?

probably the timed out setting... or your service provider

Posted by JiggyJaggy
could you guys possibly give me a list of the settings for your service providers..maybe i could use those to see if it works...without your email address and passwords ofcourse.

or do you know any pre-defined ones?

Posted by mrNoodles
Hmm sounds weird, but it might be the problem, cause if you are able to send and recieve mail (without pics) oki the "mail thing" works.

Call your Service Provider and ask if they have some limits

Posted by JiggyJaggy
will try that now and contact orange. do you know any predefined servers that definately work?

Posted by mrNoodles
No unfortuneately not.
Or doesnt it work with yahoo or hotmail? I do believe I read something about it here on esato... But Im not sure

Does anybody know whether it is open for 3rd parties to make accessories for the T68? I'd like to have a communicam, but it annoys me that it doesn't come with a mmc-card slot. Would save us some trouble down/uploading and give us loads more space to store onto.

Seems the T68's are selling enough to give other people an incentive to start selling some add-ons. I'd like a camera/mp3/radio/handsfree all-in-one module please! And if you could make it reproduce the phones connectors at the bottom so I could daisy chain with other units, that would be cool too.

I mean, PDA's have had this type of open add on functionality for ages. It's time phones started getting it too.

Yeah, go right ahead and buy it, that is if you think its worth the cash. For me it was, i use it a lot with some nice results.

Posted by AndrejPl
I still haven't deicided if I will buy it or not. Do I realy need to upload every picture from the phone? Is there no memory for more than 1 pictrue on the T68?

Regards!

Andrej

I bought my MCA-20 yesterday for 157 Euros and everything works great the picture quality is way better than my previous MCA-10 View and i can send all photos via e-mail except for the largest size one ,i can send the MMS one and the small and large size, but the Very large one i cant send via e-mail anyone else having similar problems,is it a Provider thing??

Posted by mrNoodles
>>AndrejPl
The phone can store more than 1pic - and the camera can store between 14 - 200 pics depending of size! Go get it

>>josch
If you wants to insert a pic in your posts see help or do like this:

You must have the pics uploaded on some other webspace - all that the above does os linking to the pic!

Hmm sad to hear works very fine, even, for me!
Might be as you mentioned a Provider related problem - call them and ask, and if it is - tell them to change it immediatley!! Its the "thing of the Summer2002" that depends on it!!

wath you can do is. you can memorize the pictures in your phonebook and the other on the camera. you have more pictures. i guess you can memorize in the phonebook 24 large pic. and 14 on the cam.

i know that because i had do it in the USA:

Is there a secret to sending via IR as i can't get it to work which is weird cos it works the other way round, any ideas anybody??

Posted by jh67
Someone mentioned earlier something about not being able to send pictures to pc using cable.

I mean if you download the pictures to the phone from the MCA-20 first, then you should be able to do this using cable.

Or isnt it possible for ppl to download images to the pc from the T68, eg using MyPictures or SendFile ?
Does it only work FROM pc to phone ? (I wouldnt think so).
