K700 will be out in shops around the end of May or early June here in the Philippines, price range P24-P25K
Z600 current price is P21.5K, this should probably drop to P18.5K when the K700 comes out.

K700 has a VGA camera... same one on the P800/P900.. except on a much smaller phone. K700 also capable of video recording.

sa tingin ko ang counterpart ng K700 ay Nokia 6230 in terms of similar shape and size and features. However, when it comes to aesthetics and ergonomics, the K700 is very much better. Even with the intended price range it is quite the same based from guru jplacson's estimated price 24k-25k (k700) and the N6230 (24-25k present price) now.
just this afternoon, i was staring at the very big roman poster of the nokia 6230 at the side of park square 2, in front of the bus terminal beside landmark, makati. (personally, walang dating yung poster ng unit...parang instead of screaming "buy me, buy me" , for me ang impression was "just stare at me". (again my personal opinion).
they should have replaced it with a Sony Ericsson model.

i'm going to be a future SE convert for because of this phone!
the current price of 6230 that i found is 22500 php, the downside to nokia's is the small screen and i don't mind the 32/42(?)mb of memory limit of the k700 though... i hope it gets to our shores soon. i mean very soon!

Wow! 25.5k? That's an OK price, I think. I'm 50/50 on this though...I prefer having a warrantied one but I can't stand being disconnected for almost a month...pakiramdam ko di ako naabot ng ribbon ng globe!
Is it widely available there? I mean, almost every stall?

nope, i just found 1 stall near smart centre. its near smarts' back entrance/exit, just some aisle there. i hardly noticed it since it looked like a t630, so i had to get a closer look. just asked for the price and dint even bother having a hold of it...tho i wud best recomend from official distributors...

Since I am into buying 2nd hand fones, I went to a nearby 'reputable' mall near my place, SE T610 now only sells for Php 9.5K, SE P800 only Php 17K, SE Z600 only Php 13K and SE T630 only Php 14.5K - all 2nd hand mates. 'Haven't seen an SE K700 at present time though . . . even brand new units.

warranty to be provided by whom? ingat kayo sa GH. most are willing to sell their lolas just to make a sale.
for your peace of mind, get them from authorized dealers. (unless of course you've got the money to burn in case you get lemons)

Well, it'll better if you just buy from Hub. Just ask for an authorization letter from Globe and have it signed by someone you know who is a plan subscriber. You'll get it cheaper than Goldcrest stalls plus it has official warranty.

It's quite weird when Smart offers the P900 and the K700 atthe same monthly fee of P1,200. The P900 is worth 40+k and the K700 is 25k. (And also the O2 XDA2 which costs nearly 50k). The obvious choice would be the P900 if you want value for your hard-earned money.
I played with the K700 at hub last weekend and it's quite nice. But the OS is slow and the screen has wavy lines.

@runab0ut: Check out the cell shops in Glorietta2 (near Timezone). The first shop on the right sells K700i for about P22,500.00 last time I checked a week ago.

If I wasn't hooked on the P-series hybrids, I'd get a K700. But since I prefer the P-series, the K700 is a bit overkill as a secondary phone which will probably never see the light of day.
I'm waiting for the next gen P-series, and the K500.

I've been fiddling with the phone for hours now since I bought it and I have yet to stumble into a bug.
