again "warui" was translated as "i'm sorry".
Maybe warui can be use to apologize

"suman" is another "sorry" i think it's derived from "sumimasen",
a very casual way to say sorry

daisuki da yo(i love you)
daikirai da yo(i hate you)

[ This Message was edited by: Cyborg_a0 on 2010-03-22 03:39 ]

Posted by Cyborg_a0
or you can just say

daikirai -(means hate a lot)

if your already talking to the person no need to say anata(you)

"da yo" - if i'm not mistaken its an emphasis of what your saying.

Posted by Kuchiyose
Da yo is the informal term for desu yo!

Posted by Cyborg_a0
mou kaeru kuchiyose?

Posted by Cyborg_a0
Suman, i'm confused of what to used if i'll use "itte"(went) or kaeru(to go home) so what would or what should it be translated in japanese?

mou kaeru just came up to my mind

Posted by Cyborg_a0
just downloaded school rumble, the video works well, only the opening and ending songs is a bit laggy, oh btw, set the video setting into medium quality, dunno if it really affects but i guess so

Posted by kawaii
@cyborg
maybe like this to be simple and formal way?
kuchi san, kaerimashita ka

Posted by Cyborg_a0
hmm how about in casual
i just get used in the casual way i didn't think of the past tense of imasu

i dunno of if its kaerita, kaeta or whatever so i just put mou in the first eheh

sou ka.

About suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu, they say the first one is better, 2006 vrs than 2009, its about what your saying, dejavu, so i didn't download it yet, instead i'll download School Rumble 1st thru the link i gave.

and back to topic, i don't want to use formal way when chatting with friends it would be kind of wierd

Posted by Kuchiyose
So da!

Posted by Cyborg_a0
ii zo, the video can be played in my dad's keitai, sugė, it can play h.264 video with screen reso 240x320, tonight, i'll try the movies too

haha... nice.. you know guys,, my school is a japanese private school,, and we have nihongo subject.. so we are able to takeup that subject.. haha,, but i love nihongo... hehe.. [saket sa ilong...] hehe..

Posted by Cyborg_a0
hmm, that's great but surely they'll only teach the formal and very polite way of conversation, maybe just a little in casual.

i wonder what's this in formal

nan da! are wa?

if it's

are wa! nan desu ka?

i think it's a bit awkward so i wonder how should it be.

Posted by blackspot
@The_026, Cebu kara desu ka? (just intrigued by your last comment )
@Cyborg_a0, you're right, "nan da" is the informal (sometimes considered impolite) form of "nani desu ka". IMHO, it is safer to use formal sentences in a public forum specially when you are talking with people of unknown age/gender/rank to avoid being misinterpreted as rude.

Posted by Cyborg_a0
wakatta/wakarimashita
but i already know kuchiyose, am older than him.
My or our true purpose of learning japanese is to understand anime, not to interact in the real life with japanese people

anime does not often use formal, so that's why i'm focusing on casual conversation, you may dislike my purpose of learning, demo, dou yo koto da

Posted by blackspot
I didn't mean to be pedantic sorry if it came out that way...
I totally understand your purpose and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that... It was just my opinion anyway

Posted by Cyborg_a0
whew! what a english. hanaji! hanaji!
i'ved read and also watched, many dislikes my purpose of learning, but, that's only the reason.

BTW, when talking to your gf/bf are you still gonna use to polite form?
