It's somewhere around there.. unless it's got some other phone's FW on it.
I hope we'll see some high resolution images of the device soon, remember how the K700 looked like crap in the first pics we had of it
edit: it's going to be considerably a lot smaller than the current N-Gage. It's easy to see from the size of the screen compared to the rest of the phone. That looks almost like a 6600 in horizontal mode

It'd be awesome if it has the same 65K colour TFT screen that the 6600 has.. and Series 60 2.0 with themes and such..
also a lot more internal memory would be nice

Apparently there isn't a camera on it after all, hopefully that helps to keep the price down.
It will be announced on Wednesday next week.

they do something totally wrong, everyone that has some interesst in the consol market knows that you don't release the successor of a console after one year, this is not the mobile phone market.
the ngage doesn't even have a proper software line up, if you don't have software that players are interessted in you are not going to have success, and i'm not talking about tomb raider and so on - you need software that gamers don't see on a other platform - things that make the device special - and you need to release this stuff during the hole year, not one game in february another in summer and another 2 during christmas

The screen resolution hasn't changed, it's easy to tell that from the user interface pic.
I can't see why it should fail for dead certain. It fixes pretty much everything that was wrong with the first one and will probably start selling at 200 euros

The buttons are still too close together, they aren't spaced out like on the GBA.

of course its great to release a device that fixes the flaws of the first one, but this is only great in the mobile phone buisness - gamers won't accept that, a gaming device has a normal life span of 2-3 years, and thats why most people buy them
are going to be many people saying
"What tha f*ck, i have just spend my money for an ngage and now its successor hits the street"
but well, lets see if people accept this one

Since you have seen it maybe I can ask and clarify a few things. My friend from nokia told me some things about it earlier this week and I just wanted to check.
He told me:
No camera (this you have allready answered)
No mp3 player
No radio
Brighter screen (like 6600, but not better resolution)
Hot Swappable MMCs
When an ngage game is put in it starts right up, no need to go through the menus
Also just a couple of questions because it hard to tell from the pics:
Where does the mmc go?
What is that key next to the dpad, looks like a checkmark from what I can see? (is it just an OKAY key, like pressing the center of the dpad used to do?)
what are those two buttons above the number keys on the top right hand side?
If one of them is not the "pencil" key is there not a "pencil" key on it?
Anyways, thanks for any info. My friend is hard to get a hold of and I just called him the other day and drilled him with questions on it it. Not that I have seen the inside I have more He originally only sent me a pic of the back LOL
P.S. You either have smaller hands than me (quite possible, I am 6'5) or it is no smaller than the ngage 2. My friend said it was smaller but not a ton. But it is so hard to tell from the pics. Is it really smaller?

N-Gage 2 is set to be announced tomorrow, but flashfly.net already has some lots of pictures. Note how the hotswapping works with the new N-Gage 2 and the size compared to the original N-Gage. Rumours are that these images are not the final version of the N-Gage 2 and there will be some revisions in the commercial model.

I personally think the new N-gage looks cheap. But functio wise its a huge improvement.
But its only a matter of time before they get it right with all that money behind them.
