I'm looking for a used 128 DUO card for my S710.

Most folks don't like shipping to the U.S. Does anyone in this thread have a 128 DUO to sell?

Posted by himomer
@REO

Have you tried x1387 on eBay?

You mean "Tour de Lance",

Yes, I'm following it every day. I'm not very interesting in cycling but Le Tour is just so amazing...these athletes are unbelievable. I'm very impressed by Michael Rasmussen. I was hoping Magnus Backstedt from Sweden would win a stage...he came very close but now I think he's out.

I like cheering the underdogs but it would be cool to see Lance retire with 7 wins....just after everything he's been through. His determination must be unbeatable!!!

I check in on the Tour every day or so. I haven't really watched any TV coverage of it. Mostly I just check who won the stages since I last checked and who the overall leader is.

I am very happy for Lance overall. I am glad it isn't a runaway victory yet and that he has some competition. I want him to win, but I don't want it to be easy.

Posted by Residentevil
I am following it on the internet.

Posted by Residentevil
Lance is getting closer only three Stages left.

@* how much is your budget for a P910?

Posted by PlainShane
Straight outta Wichita, Kansas. 99th largest US cell phone market, slated for a Nov. UMTS w/out HSDPA launch!

Posted by himomer
Talked to a T-Mobile master dealer today and he said that TMO is in the process of signing quite a few roaming agreements with Cellular South and Cingular in my area. Don't know how true this is but it would be a significant improvement here.

Posted by Ayush
@paul why do you have to put your feet in places which don't interest you? :-l

Posted by knight4led
@Ayush of course people bike in the US. Depends where you are of course, in some areas people only bike for exercise and such, but in others people bike to work and school and wherever else they go.

You aren't gonna find lots of people biking to work in LA, but head up to Davis and bikes are everywhere.

Posted by Ayush
Thanks knight4led. That wa helpful. Actually I met an Indian-American from LA and I was greatly surprised that bikes are unpopular in LA! I was shocked

What is Davis btw?

So its common for adults to bike too? It really nice. Here in India its unpopluar

Posted by knight4led
Davis is a town in California closer to Sacramento. Its not a well known place, I just used it as an example because everyone rides bikes there.

I have never seen any other place as crazy about bikes as Amsterdam though. If you wanna see lots of adults riding around on bikes, that is where you have to go.

Posted by Residentevil
LA is the car town. Little public transportation. Lots of smog and traffic jams. And in the late 20th GM bought trolley systems throughout the US using a number of front corporations. It then dismanteled the systems, ripped out the tracks, overhead wires, etc. It then turned them into bus lines, you guessed it mfg. by GM. GM persuaded other companies that benefited from road building to help pay for the costly takeover of American Trolleys. In 1947 GM and its henchmen were indicted on federal antitrust charges. Two years later, the workings of the conspiracy and its members where exposed during a trial in Chicago. GM, Mack Truck, Firestone, Standard Oil (Bush company) of California were all found guilty on one of the two counts by a federal jury. As punishment all members had to pay a fine of measly $5,000 and the executives who plotted the conspiracy were fined $1 each. And the postwar reign of the automobile proceeded without further challenge.

Posted by Ayush
Wow that was some insight! @knight thanks. So how many of you bike here?

Posted by knight4led
I am in LA now, so not much biking for me. Although I used to mountain bike on the weekends. I should really start that again.

Posted by ADT0079
In florida you only really ride a bike if you can not afford a motor vehicle. Maybe because it is to Damn hot here :-D

Posted by Ayush
It's hot in India too! But biking is good exercise :-) how much would a decent bike cost in the US?

Posted by knight4led
you mean like a road bike or a mountain bike? Because a comfortable mountain bike with suspension and good shifters is at least $1000. I haven't really looked into road bikes, since that was never something I did. If you just want a bike to ride around the streets on I would assume you could spend like $300 and get something more than adequate.

Posted by Residentevil
You can get a Schwinn mountain bike with 21 gears, front and rear suspension at Toys R Us for less than $300.

Posted by Ayush
@knight so a 300 dollar bike is something which average ppl would be able to afford? Is this bought by adults and teens both?

Posted by Residentevil
Yes it is. My step son got that bike on sale for $189.00

Posted by DawidSOL

Why don't more Americans post here more frequently?

Posted by m0hammad
ya, why don they?

Posted by knight4led
There aren't that many of us that post in this thread at all and I don't think we have as much to say as we used to. Honestly ResidentEvil and I are the only two on this thread that I could call regulars. There are a few non-Americans that stop by every once in a while as well. That isn't exactly the recipe for lots of spirited discussion and lots of posts.

What are the most popular phones in The States at the moment?

Posted by knight4led
most popular phones in the states are S40 Nokias because every provider offers some form of Nokia

Posted by goldenface
Thanks. It sounds like the cell market is not very fast moving. . .

Posted by REO
The Motorola RZR V3 is the most popular in my region.

I can't believe my wife and kids want this phone over .

It's nice looking in form..... It will never match an

interface is the best..... DIEHARD HERE !

Posted by goldenface
@REO Too true. Its whats inside that counts ;-)

Posted by knight4led
yeah I agree about the RAZR, super popular, but almost unuseable if you ask me. I got one for my mom, but I would never use one for myself.

Posted by REO
Unfortunately the general U.S. consumer wants a phone just for talk.
Hence why there is not a strong market for the high end phones with all the bells and whistles as in Europe and Azia.

To sum it up..... The American consumer is very ignorant ( meaning, not as knowledgeable ) when it comes to cell phone technology.

Example: I will never ever buy a phone with out BT, yet I have asked a great deal of people wether their phone has BT, and the response is:
" BT, what is that "? or " What do I need BT for "? " I just need a basic phone to talk ".

Grrrrrr...... Hence why I have to wait for months and months when a new high end phone surfaces in Europe or azia, or purchase it on ebay.

Things that I look for on a phone:
Make --> Only --> ( Love the interface ) hate all others....
BT
1.3 MP cam or higher
MP 3
Speaker phone
Synch operation
EDGE

Now looking for (WIFI ) ( Hopefully in the next P Series ).

Please, Please, Please....

Bring WIFI and MS Mobile Windows 5 to the P Series....

Posted by goldenface
@REO. May be you should emigrate to Europe :-D. It sounds like the operators have still to pick up on a lot of marketing opportunities like BT etc. Then the push for high-end handsets will start.
