yeah it´s poular in the US with rappers and the sort...it#s the continuation to the "two way" pager
...I hope they have imporved the Phone capabilities as i heard they weren´t exactly great but for everythingelse, it´s a great device.

Its not a PAGER its a phone (more of a pda than a pager). it has great web browsing capabilities and email/aim.
rappers had it in some of their videos because it was pretty 'cutting edge'.
it is not a rapper specific phone. i have one, a number of people at my school have them as well.

maybe its the second of your thoughts, the fact that no other network seemed to put any interest (or money) into competing against them at the time may have had a major effect on development, but why would they produce it now after all this time though?!
