so what's the point if you are going to get stuck with a picture you can't see in the end? I mean what if you no longer want a pic? How will you delete it?

I cant understand whats the point is other then if you think that t610 have to big memory.

The people who jocked with this trick are so f..... Ignorant! Did you read it? The sole purpose of this trick is removing the thumbnails of caller photos from the images folder, while they will still appear when the contacts call. For people with lots of photos assigned to contacts it becomes difficult to browse that folder to search the "normal" photos, gifs or walpapers

And the point?!?
Posted by Cesar_Barba
Well, I'm thinking that if at a later date you really want to delete these pictures, all you have to do is erase their links to their contacts. Like Arez said, it makes the browsing of other pictures much easier when you have lots of pictures for your contacts, and the pictures of your contacts still appear when you get calls from them (with the exception of blocked numbers). Of course, that means that if you do this, and then unlink the pictures from their contacts, then you lose said pictures for good. If you do not want to lose those pictures, then just don't erase them from your Pictures folder.
This was a trick that Arez posted, and like everything else, if you don't want to do it, then, well.....
Don't.

But what do ya mean by rotate?
Posted by MaThIbUs
Rotate the picture 90 degrees. I don't think the T3xx can do this, Ayush.

This may be useful for the T610, why not just create a new folder for contact pictures on the K700i?
on another note, I'd assume you would simply delete the pic by going into the contact's entry after it had been magically "re-installed"
Posted by ares
This trick is only for t610/t630/z600...there´s no need for this in the k700/z1010/s700 because you are able to make different folders for your images...

Why is this useful

thanks for the tip
Posted by lexy
but why in my phone (z600) "rotate" is greyed/disable ?
Posted by ares
It´s only available when editing photos right after taking them with the phones camera
Posted by lexy
so.. means that the trick doesn't apply on current stored pictures ?
