I have a UPS conected to my pc in my room and it needs a car battery to work. It this dangerous to my health?

The battery itself should not be dangerous providing that it is in good condition, specifically that the seals are all intact and that it is correctly topped-up with distilled water. It's also an idea to make sure that the room is well ventilated, just in case any fumes do escape.

The main danger with car batteries occurs whilst charging. They give of Hydrogen gas, so make sure that there are no naked flames around whilst charging.

just don't try to pull it apart. car batteries use a lead-acid cell.

lead = toxic

acid = burn

result = not pretty
