Yes, the screensavers are ordinary animated gifs.
You can get animated gif freeware programs from different sites,..try e.g. tucows.com.
This is the one I use :

When You open it,..there will be a registration-form,..just push the "I will consider registrering".

Now Screen Saver and Enhanced Background are available to download via wap. But make sure to use the Wap Gateway that allow you to download the file with the the size more than 3K.
To find the Wap Gateway Info do a search in this forum.
