T610 image file size - how to reduce?

Hello all,
It's my understanding that the T610 stores all images internally in the phone using a RAW format, which explains why my 6 KB JPG file turns out to be 25 KB once it's transferred to my T610 using Bluetooth.
However - I transfer some _tiny_ JPG images and they still turn out to be 20-40 KB in the phone, while the images I take with my T610 camera are comparably large and they only take up about 10-20 KB in the phone...?
Does anybody know why this is and how I can get my images to be as small as those? If I download a picture taken with my T610, which my phone reports to be 20 KB to my PC using Bluetooth and then just rename it and send it right back, it will be 55 KB in the phone!
I'd be really grateful for all help on this - I want to add photos of all my family and friends to link to the phonebook, but they take up way too much room this way!

Hi. I doubt this is possible to rectify. Happens with my 310 too :-(

Regarding the first scenario I tihnk its logical, as there is
Actual file size
and
Disk File size
Should be the same on the phone,
You do have a firmware upgrade rite, because it allows u to reduce ure camera pics.
And the camera, probably can compress its own images, but not other images, and thats why u have a difference in size.
Its just a hunch tho.
I posted this so that someone would realize i wrong and correct me faster.

I seem to have R3C002, don't know if that's the latest...
But I still don't understand why the _exact_ same JPG file would have different file size when it comes from the PC?

Because the phone shares ram from user memory?

Sorry, I don't understand that last part - the photos I take with the T610 camera are stored somewhere else in the phone's memory than the pictures I transfer to it using Bluetooth?

No, just the same memory but the phone makes a RAW copy in an memory area that u can't control or have acces to.That's the way it is.Nuthin' u can do.

But that still doesn't answer why the SAME image takes up different amount of memory in the phone depending on how it got there?
