It is 520 EUR. Finnish webstores are selling it for 415 - 419 EUR, expect the same in your country.

The 6220 cost about 440 EUR last week, now it's 370 EUR. The prices of several other Nokias were also reduced.

What I like the most about this is that the 5140 will almost certainly cost 3XX EUR

419 EUR http://www.idesan.pp.fi/mobphones.html

415 EUR http://www.lohenette.fi/

Note: I don't think those 2 stores ship worldwide.

Also, a rumour has it that it will start shipping next week.

Not that overpriced me thinks!

Flying Finn, do you know if the 6230 retails with a data cable?

Posted by 50Cent
wow thats like £280

good price, didnt expect that from nokia!

is that sim free so on a contract it will be practically free, and payg will be around the £200 mark that is very cheap its very tempting if its as good as the specs suggest

Yeah its a really good phone (played around with it for a while). the pic quality is really good and so are the other features. A definate contender to the T630 at that price. The only draw bakc is the relatively tiny screen as opposed to the massive se ones

Isn't that expensive?

Posted by slattery69
i dont think so but i tend to get phones on contracts so i guess it wont be far off free.se t630 is about the same price sim free the nokia looks far better on paper video player/recorder mp3 player etc.
i do agree the screen looks very small esp after a t610

I think this topic is screwing up the first page of esato on wap (xhtml) cus of the symbols used in the topic's subject title, any chance of changing the euro symbol the words 'euro' please, that might be the problem but im just guessing

thx

isnt it already out, a couple of peoplei know have it, i think its standard Nokia menu and stuff. Nothing special.

except edge, video recording, and MP3 player, and TFT screen.

Nothing the Z1010 Wont have or the T650

I heard you can pre-order it for 377 euro somewhere in Holland. Don't ask me.

Anyway. The menu system is rather new for a Nokia, mainly due to the added 3rd softkey (Series 40 2.0 if you like). The middle key (joystick center) is always "OK" and the other 2 mark extra options (and can be assigned to any function in standby mode) just like in 6650, 6810, 6820, 7200, 7600 and 5140. From a graphical point of view, the list menu is the same as in 7210 etc while the 3 x 3 icon menu is familiar from 6650, 7250i, 6220, 3200, 7600, 5140, 6810, 6820 and 7200.

But us fans with contracts cant choose when the 12 months will be up,so for me i have to wait till september for a new phone.
I think my t610 will do me till then, and the z1010 should be bug free by the time i get my hands on one

Does anyone know or can take a guess on how much the nokia 6230 will cost with a one year contract? I hope AT&T Wireless comes out with a good 1 year contract deal for this phone. I hope it is under $150 USD....any help or ideas would be great, thanks

The price in dubai is around 450$

Posted by wazuph2o
You said it is 415 euros, which i think is $550 USD but, wont that price drop when the phones are officially released?

Posted by Flying Finn
415€ is just the unlocked price in Finland and it's actually down to 409€ now

It depends on where you live, in Holland it's cheaper atm (about 480USD) as you can see.
