No,i tried several times but on the normal providers it doesnt work but when nowMMS was operating it did work...so technical it is possible..

I tried to send a mms to my email and the adress was 4748******@mmc.telenor.no I tried to respond but the only thing that hapend was that i got a sms to my phone that told me that i had to go to a internet page and read it. So i think the providers have made it imposible.

Yes you are right . But recently is HAS become possible with hutch. Not with orange i guess. But strangely i do not think it works by sending from hutch. Give it a shot from any other e mail; web or wap

It works but it depends on your provider. My provider wont allow me to send to email so then otherwise won't work too

Ofcourse that is possible i have been sending mms to email id's for ages now. You can send anything themes, midi, gif etc. As attachments

nothing strange about it... it's all up to the network provider to support that service... none of the Swedish network providers support email to MMS, just the other way around.

thanks. it works both the ways email <-> mms (over Hutch Karnataka Service Provider). tried attachments viz., themes and sounds. emails are just treated as mms's

It is strictly e mail provider and service provides dependent. Sorry Rohan i guess it is not possible with orange. Yes possible with hutch. Forget sending from hotmail and rediff. Grooveit.nl is one server that seems to work :-D also xm.ms is a server that works too. Jade yours is a public server?

PS: when an mms is received on a mail server it also adds an attachment something like *.mmi (not sure of the extension), and it usually troubles and get caught with the AntiVirus software.

Hey Ayush just to check it why don't you send me an email i hope thats not too much of trouble. And by the way guys the smil attachment you get in your email can be opened in a real one player on your pc which allows you to see your mms as it was configured

yes you did the right thing... but if there is a message in that email that you can't replay to it, it simply means you can't send email to MMS... you can always check the senders address, sometimes it just says "no-reply@serviceprovider.net", then it's no use trying to reply, but if your phonenumber is included in the emailaddress (like +467012345645@mms.serviceprovider.net) then you can always try replying to the mail, if it doesn't work you will just get an automatic mail from the server that you can't send email to that address
