Or maybe they have both offer. But I felt the price is not very attractive on the phones. Maybe on accessories is better I won't know.

Is almost Q2. Was told you can already get it in Hong Kong.

Posted by TonyG

HK always faster than here.

Posted by XsuwailX
@cscs, really? Where exactly in HK? For how much, in US$?

Posted by TonyG

XsuwailX>- In Singapore, probably will be selling below Sgd750. You can gauge ard this price.

Posted by P800
thanks for all your info.
have already upgraded to R7a 013 at killiney road.
but there is some clarification i hope u all can help.
1. when using mca25 to take photo why is it that t68m is not so clear where else using a t68mc the pic is clearer???(this is so even the contrast is set to the same and the pic taken is took on the same area of the same time) is there a different in hardware???
2. when the contrast is set to the same as t68mc the wallpaper color looks different too. t68mc is still brighter and more sharp.

i know this is a old phone and should be obselete soon but i like it a lot so if u all have any info on the above kindly reply to this.

lastly T100 finally can received pic and ringtones from nokia with the R6E sw without a problem.

Posted by scrreech
TonyG: I did try to upgrade my sw (my T68mi still using R2E!!!) when my warranty expired. Hwever, the SP at Woodlands say that to upgrade must pay! I forgot how much. Also, can u tell me how long it will take to upgrade sw? Thanx

Posted by TonyG
scrreech>- The upgrading for new sw is normally ard half an hour plus and minus. The only sw which you have to pay even with warranty is only the time that from T68m converted to T68mi. The rest of the normal upgrading that you do not have to pay. I have checked with SonyEricsson Singapore office. Perhaps the Service Point ppl was not awared. Tell you what, give the Service Centre a call and check with them. If they still insists you have to pay, pls let me know and I will ask SE office Engr to talk to the SC Manager. And you can approached him for upgrading. Btw, As P800 had posted his warranty is over and he upgraded from Killiney SP without charge.

P800>- Through my guessing there are three possibility.

1. Perhaps your T68m had LCD problems.

2. At that time the m series came out first. That is only the English version. The mc came out later, it belongs to the 2nd batch with Chinese version. Frankly the second batch display light is better. The key pad light and LCD lights are very much brighter than the first batch of m series.

3.Maybe you LCD "Bulbs" are going to worn off or even some of the bulbs and already blown out. That may lead to dimmer LCD display.

This is only from my personal opinions. The best thing is to send in to the SC for checking. And it also cud be the sw bugs you would'nt know.

where r everyone ?? why nowadays very quiet here .... ??

Posted by TonyG
As what Edmund said, "AWOL".

Posted by P800
thanks for your reply TonyG.
actually for the upgrade at lilliney road was suppose to pay according to the technician.
but he did it for goodwill for me as i often go there and upgrade it and chitchat with hime as well.
was supposed to pay $20.80 according to the guy.
i do not know if it suppose to be free anyway.
hope we can get it done free or else anymore upgrade we will have to pay for it.

as for the brightness i think u r right abt it.
as i can see that when i on the phone the screen is rather dim as compared to T68mc.
probably the some of the lcd bulb is already burnt out.
thanks for your analysis it helped alot.
but changing of lcd will cost a bomb, i will juz live with it as it is till T610 is out.
T610 sure will crash the 7250 users.
T310 will crash the 6100 and 6610.
this will cause them a double impact and this will come the day "long live Sony Ericsson"

P800>-Thank you for your confident and strong support on SE products. SE will be happy to hear abt it.

Posted by john5263
Hi. Juz wan to enquire wat is the key features of the firmware R7a?

Posted by TonyG

Nothing much, it is the sw supporting for the camera only

Posted by scrreech
TonyG: So, which is the safest way out? Call me before making the trip or just go? I do plan to get both my T68mi & T68i for upgrade

Posted by TonyG
Okay, not to watse your trip unnecessary, call them and check with them. mentioned to them SE Singapore say it is free for upgrading even after warranty period. If they insisted you must pay, post your message to me here again, I will ask SE Singapore to talk to their Manager. And I will tell you who to look for in the SC for the free upgrading.

Why waste time. I was told the same in SE service center too. (ie chargeable). SE should make the announcement to all their service point on this vs calling up by each users !

Posted by TonyG

Okay, I hv brought up this matter to SE, they are going to discuss with the SC on this issue. Let's wait for their reply.

hi, looking to get this phone, where do you guys to suggest to buy. Need definitely be local warranty. Singtel is still at 1188 2yr plan, but I heard that some are selling w/o plan 1238, so the Singtel price must come down soon, or what?

Posted by TonyG

HP price definitely will drop if the new models or competitors new phones are coming out. Why don't you try M1 package, I think it is cheaper than ST. It is all depending on yourself see how keen you intend to own this phone.

Posted by dairin
I think M1 also offering $1188 for 2 yrs contact, w/o line is $1348.
if u buying w/o line, u can try neighbourhood shop, maybe can get slightly cheaper
