Why don't you look around for cheaper (but not original) covers? It really does cost quite a bit. I paid $3 just for that lousy little piece of plastic (volume slider).

My advise is do not change third party products yet if your phone is still under warranty, The SC will take all possibilities to void your warranty if they could and will charge you for the services.

Yeah but what justifies the $70 price. No doubt they have the upper hand here.

as long the service & the quality of the face plate is good, i think its worth the money to change with them

hi, anybody have a spare t68 aerial cover (black and rubbery) that you're willing to sell?
Posted by MarkOng
Thanks. No problem, i've replaced it myself twice.

so what do u guys think abt N7210 ?? will it be a threat to our T68 other than 4096 colour n polyphonic ringtone ??
Posted by TonyG
I don't think so dairin. Beside the polyphonic ringtones and 4096 color,
this phone cannot even come near to our T68 on technical aspect. Infact, I heard the 6610 is the best comparing to other models. Nokia 6 series always a more reliable phone. There are a lot of good comments on the 6310 and 6310i. I do not know why Nokia do not want to bring in this model. I think they are worried if they bring in these 2 models, the 3 series could not move at all.

Guess wat? There was an SE roadshow and I saw the P800!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a prototype model. I played with it for awhile. The chic holding it was rather helpful and showed me around the phone. Damn cool phone i can tell you guys. She told me it will be released end of this year in Malaysia for about RM2500 - 3000.
All i can say is that i found a few bugs in the prototype... but then it's just a proto, so it's okay. Hope they sort them out soon!
The screen was excellent, the cam was okay but i found that when I was using the view finder on the screen, the image was blur and not smooth unlike the 7650.
There's a jotter function where u can write notes. The phone recognises handwriting for that function!! Something like the pocketpc hand writing recognition feature. I couldn't get this to work for the SMS writing though, had to rely on the virtual keyboard instead.
The keypad was bloody unresponsive... i had to press about 5 times before the numbers appeared... Maybe it's the bug in protos... *shrugs*
once, it hung for about 20secs.... mmm other than that it's good.
stylus a little too short for my liking but it looks damn cool... translucent blue...
mm ok that's all.... damn excited when i had it in my hand. It isn't that big (almost like the 7650) and heavy.... so it's cool. well, thta's about it, that's the highlight of my day =)
cheers!

Hi.. Jus came back from my 10 days japan tour... Love it but damn tired now... Every person is carrying a phone with built in camera !! Why are we still so slow? :-) one observation their phones are mostly flip type.. Maybe it's cos they need to put in lots of components i guess.. Pro and cons.. Hee..
Posted by [C]yNo$
yeah .. the ppl there prefer flip hp .. but the size are abit bulky dont you think so
??

Hello all, I'm new to this forum, and was quite glad to see a singaporean thread, but when i saw the no. of pages, i flipped. Actually just wanted to ask whether there's a dedicated site for SE fans in s'pore?
And more importantly......when will the HPR-20 be released!??!
Posted by MarkOng
Hi and welcome to esato!
As dar as I know, this thread is the only place dedicated to se fans in singapore.
BTW, in the papers today was a short review of the GD88. It'll be our sometime in december and priced around $900 (bloody expensive!). It seems the camera is not capable of taking 640x480 pictures, maximum resolution is to fit the phone's screen size. If you transfer them to the pc, the pics will just look like thumbnails. It seems there's a problem with the flip as well. During an incoming call, flipping open the phone does not automtically pick up the call, the same goes for hanging up and closing the flip. Kind of retarded I think..... There's more info in the papers and I'll post them later when my colleague stops drooling over the pages.

Picture dimensions are 132x176. They're small but very good and sharp, this is also due to the 65k colour screen. You can also store only 20 polyphonic tones. The price is still kind of worying though...
Posted by Scottcmh
err....how bout the HPR-20? U know, the Stereo FM handsfree? ANy idea when it'll be released?
Actually i just sent my t68i down for repairs at the branch close to orchard. The phone's connection ports really screwed up.....cant detect my cam, nor my radio handsfree.
Is there anyway to ensure the handsfree radio wont move about when connected? I keep it in my pocket and sometimes when i move, the connection breaks off...very irritating.
Posted by MarkOng
There's a thread somewhere that tackled this problem by placing a cardboard in between the connections. don't know if it works. I can't remember which thread (might be the Tips and Tricks section) but try using the search menu to find it.
Posted by orang3
hmm , i was so fed up with the connection prob on my fm tht i gave it away. as for the cam .. it is not so bad . it is when i use the fm and place it in the bag the connection will always come off ..
Posted by Scottcmh
Yeah, i know what u mean.
I found the thread about the cardboard, but i dont understand their instructions....but wouldnt jamming a cardboard create even more connection problems? I mean in the long run it'll be quite loose.
Thanks anyway mark

--------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the way is to use the search. Just type t300 and you can find tons of them, including polyphonic tones.
Hope that help!
Posted by revant
i had not subscribe to wap yet as i dunno whether i should or not ... can i have some views from you guys?? and... can i get polyphonic ringtones and games through the cable made for sony ericsson phone...???

Did anyone know when the p800 will be release in Singapore. In this website it stated 19th of November.
http://www.ebuy168.com/index.html
Therefore, personally i think p800 will be release around that date.
Posted by s01655468
P800 VS GD88
Which is better, depend on individual.
P800- more function .
GD88- better color screen (65536)
And both equally expensive.
Posted by orang3
hmm yeah .. the p800 is more for exec looks and gd89 is more for teens
Posted by Scottcmh
Do you guys think its more practical to get a FM reciever instead of the upcoming HPR-20? Somehow because of the connection issue i think it is. However, the HPR-20 looks so damn good and its 'shiok' to use with my T68i.
IF i buy the hpr-20, i think it will be because of the looks
Posted by MarkOng
Actually, i think the blue on the p800 does not really appeal. Would prefer a shiny black or dark silver colour to make it look more professional. Its got great features but still lacks the cosmetic beauty.
Posted by dairin
I agree with mark, that's why i go for T68 but of course with I-version inside it
Posted by MarkOng
orang3--> I got your mms last night and could actually select the theme to save to the phone. You said your line was sh? I thought they still couldn't provide cross network mms? I tried sending back to you but couldn't.
Posted by Scottcmh
Does anyone know where I can find T68i phone plates? I want the white one but i'm not sure where to find it. Is there any in bedok interchange?
Thanks
Posted by MarkOng
You looking for original or copies? You could pm orang3, he's got some spare parts
Posted by Scottcmh
I want the white one....looks so damn good
U mean there are actually original covers? Can buy from SE?
Posted by [C]yNo$
markong --> really ?? tht was weird .. i tried sending my fren which was using st but he cant receive it ...
Posted by orang3
realy.. you can receive it in your mms inbox .. hmm mayb sh to m1 can .. but sh to st cant hhe e..
Posted by orang3
how come you cant send back ??m1 stopped their mms service ??
Posted by MarkOng
Aiyah, can never say with M1. Last time got free trial also msg everytime fail. So I'm not sure whether its still on or its the bloody network problem. It seems to be still on cos of the recent launch of the 7650 and their wapsite is promoting mms downloads ($3.50 per download!
Posted by MarkOng
Scottcmh--> Yeah, you can get original ones from the service centre but they are very costly!
Posted by orang3
haha.. ok ok .. the sh 1's are free till further notice . i called them up yesterday to find out as i am using alot of it .. ehehe , as for the cover .. se wont change the t68i cover for t68m phones .. it is ard 70+ just for the cover .. t68m 1 ..
Posted by MarkOng
I've tested, M1 cannot send to sh.
