Last sat got back my repaired t68i from se goldhill.. Mind kept hanging up after i upgraded to r5c..they could not solve it so they changed the motherboard.. Now got old caring but new motherboard.. But the sw is still r2e.. But think tis is so much stable than the latest sw.. Think will stick to this till se comes out with a proven stable sw release.. Anyone got any comment on the r5c sw?
Posted by [C]yNo$
my T68i with R5A kept on hanging while i play the erix .. and so on .. so i rather wait for a more stable 1 ..

Anyone using the new r5c software with singtel services here tell me if the singtel sign on your hp appears as singtel-G9 in the new software?
Cause ive got a T68mc upgraded to I,using r5c,and in it it just shows singtel.Whereas my cousin who is using a t68i with r5c has it displayed as singtel-g9
Posted by [C]yNo$
may be it is just the diff gsm server ? like 900 and 1800
Posted by |||XerXes®|||
yah...the gsm 900 is displayed as Singtel G-9 and the gsm 1800 is displayed as Singtel G-18

I saw this girl with a t68i body and a t68m lunar grey cover but the face plate on the screen was a t68i lunar grey. Real wierd combination. I was just wondering if the cover was an original. Have you guys seen anything like that? The covers are available at the sesc but very costly.
Posted by [C]yNo$
i am also doing tht .. ehheh .. i prefer the look of the T68 lunar gray cover .. i bought it ard 35 usd ..
Posted by dairin
which one better lunar grey or mineral grey ?
Posted by [C]yNo$
i feel tht the lunar gary looks better ..
Posted by MarkOng
[C]yNo$--> That's pretty expensive for a cover.
I feel that the lunar grey doesn't match the back of the t68i though.
Lunar grey is the original t68m grey cover.
Mineral grey is the t68i with the grey faceplate.

Now R5C can accept T68 and T68mc downloading.

just wanna ask; how much is an HBH-30 in singapore. my brother will be there on november to interview kylie minogue on november, so i might ask him to get an hbh-30 for me. does se have a lot of stock on the hbh-30?
or better yet, anybody wanna sell me a secondhand hbh-30 or hbh-15?
Posted by TonyG
dairin-> As I have mentioned it before this R5C sw does not help on the message alert tone. It is similar to R5A. So it is not really necessary to go for the upgrading.

dairin - the original t68i cover can be found at sim lim square. it is at a shop on either 2nd or 3rd floor near the lifts. this shop sells a lot of phone housing / covers for nokia, ericsson, etc. it has some funny looking handsfree sets and satelite phones at the display in front of the shop. for keypad, was told a shop at bugis village has it for $20. someone posted that it is also available at queensway for $10 only. good luck.

Which manufacturer care more about their consumers in Singapore?
I wonder... NOKIA? a lot of care centre, very easy to reach them. But they dun exchange set..die die also dun exchange set. Give me a type of feeling like, if you dun our service dun buy lor.
Samsung? never been one.
SE? hm.. too small and too little but at least sometimes they do allow one to one....sometimes only lar..
what do you all think?

Heh speaking of good customer service, i dropped my phone on monday, and phone refused to boot up. then when i bring to Sony Ericsson Service Centre at Kallang Pudding, they perform a check and told me my battery is spoilt. Without asking me how whether i have misused the phone, they change a new battery for me without question!! it only took 10 mins

Has anyone upgraded their T68i firmware? I would like to know what are the changes... Also has anyone carry a HBH-30? I would like to know if there is a new firmware for it too.
Posted by jcding
hi..i just upgraded my phone software to R5C001 last friday. I think not much difference with last software I have RE006, except now the message tone sounds abit louder, can add in new words into T9 dictionary, new setting in wap profiles, new mms setting and other than none... I have read some one saying that sms typing becomes faster but i dont think it has...still the same speed la... : )
Posted by clody
Oic, but there are complains that it hangs the phone... Hmm... I think I wait for the later version... Oh one thing I found out about my T68i is that some of the themes that I download in the phone cannot work well... I don't know if it has to do with the phone...
Posted by davidsim
The latest R5C/D has a lot of bugs i think.. It killed my last t68i.. Till se changed a new motherboard for me.. Now have ao old body with new parts.. Hee.. The sw is still R5E... But i am not complaining... Think it is so much stable... Dun really see any significant improvement on the recent upgrades..
Posted by orang3
hahha... ask them to come up with something good.. b4 launch any sw.. it is a waist of our time .

That's damn cheap for a bluetooth headset but don't know whether the pairing good or not. Had a friend who bought the motorolla one but always have problems when using with ericsson phone.
