TonyG,P800 is scheduled for release this month in the Philippines. Training with local SE service points start next week. As for R5C001, I was fortunate enough (?) to be the first customer to have upgraded to thls version. Here are some of my observations from another forum: To add to my previous post regarding Hbh30 and R5C001, it indeed introduced another bug. the headset sometimes have difficulty in disconnecting bt connection with T68i. Discovered this when I attempted to connect my palm to use gprs after a call made. I had to turn off the Hbh to free the port. On the positive side, Sending mms seem to be a bit faster now. As for the ring and sms tone, I'm satisfied with it. If you still find it too weak better have your phone checked. Some units really have a weaker buzzer than others. Btw, the range of my blue tooth improved after the upgrade. This was verified by the test we did at Smartnet Phils. Last saturday with my unit still at r2f004, i couldnt connect from the farthest seat of the waiting area by the glass. After the upgrade was done yesterday, connection was already possible at that distance. My estimate would be 6 to 7 meters from the counter. Let me know if you guys experience this increase in performance too. Test was in the presence of Rommel and Carlos. Thanks guys, excellent cs!

TonyG,The phone tested was the replacement unit given to me (R1B hardware). My previous unit was on R5A020(same hardware version ). It locked up my ir port

I have upgraded my software to R5A, it did not bring any problem to my T68i as reported by few in this forum...guess i am lucky..but as for the sms tone, think it is still the same as before

orang3 wat time does the SC in Goldhill open? I want to be there at opnening time so i can have my phone fixed on the day itself. I have a few other problems i need them to fix as well. Keypad is squeeky and battery doesn't fit, LEDs of the keypad are of different colours (one side greenish blue, another bright blue).
So i have to get there real early... coz i have to go back to malaysia ASAP.
So is goldhill equipped to do things fast? I know i have to get to Novena MRT... anyway, do tell me wat time they open and close on a saturday k? THanks!

They open from 10am to 1pm on a sat but I think the last service they'll take is around 12pm

hmm i advice you to go there on week days .. as they are not so busy and can process your problem in ard 45 min .. they open at 10.30 on weekdays

My T68i hung on me since last night...due to the recent s/w upgrade to R5A...today went to SE goldhill and they said going to upgrade to R5C...after an hour. My phone is upgraded to R5C but that does not solve the hanging and resetting problem...in the end..they said have to "hospitalized" my phone for a few days for observation...
Bottom line is, R5C is out but how good is it? You have to decide...

I dunno cos din not have the chance to try out the new software...my T68i keeps hanging up on me even after the R5C upgrade...but according to SE goldhill, they are saying that the sms alert tone is still the same...meaning no improvement

I just bought the DCU10 at Kallang singapore. Tried to log on to the net and got a disappointing 9.6kps speed. How can I get the GPRS speed to surf the net from my notebook.
when using iR the rate is the same..should have saved the money and use IR instead..will a bluetooth adaptor help me get a better speed ?

HI , i'm new to the esato web site . i find this a great site for se owners .. forum and all .
Anyway , a little bit of info : from wat i read in the forum , people who upgraded their T68i sw to r5c say that the upgrade improve the reaction speed of the phone , no more half a sec delay when accessing functions or typing messages ( which i think is a major short coming of the t68i ). I think this improvement is enough reason for me to get the new r5c sw ...
2 questions , any one bought the data cable for the phone ... how much is it ? and is it worth the price ?
and is there anyway i can get a screen protector or anything like that ?
