guys, i think low trade in value doesn't bother us too much as i feel t68 is really a great phone, i wont trade in my t68 unless for something better than this phone which is still very diff to find on this current market even i dun consider N7650 better than T68 so keep ur phone guys as u're holding one of the best phone out there
Posted by MarkOng
True that we have the best phone and value on the market right now but I may say, all of us will eventually trade in our t68's sooner or later. I would like the value of the t68 to remain competetive so that it benefits us. Look at the 8210. The highest trade in value for the phone (that I know of) is still $200! Even 2 years after its release. I'm definitely hanging on to my t68 but I hope that when the time comes (p800?) we'll still get a good deal.

dun worry abt the screen discolouration.. i've been thru 3 t68s already....
all have some kind or other of "brownish" discolouration at the edge of the screen when its displaying black..
i suspect its something to do with the bright LED on the YES NO buttons..
another thing i noticed is the different kinds of "WHITE" screen when the screen is displaying a white background..
some fones have a yellowish white, some have the bright white... u can only notice this when u compare fone side by side...
thank god after my 3rd t68, mine is finally a REAL WHITE one... i like it...
finally, regarding the CREAKING buttons,
don't worry about those...
u can unscrew ur t68, re-sit the keypad, and screw it back again...
after a bit of trial and error the keypad will not creak anymore... mine used to creak DAMN LOT!! esp the NO button...
as for the side of the t68 jutting out and not fitting properly, i found after unscrewing the fone and re fitting the face onto the front, it fit perfectly after that! i osso dunno why...
poor quality control?
anyway, all those are minor problems.....
With regards to the ST Classic 100 GPRS problem:
yes it does occur... when my fone get switched to SINGTEL 1800 sometimes (due to poor reception) the GPRS goes off. this is coz 1800 band DUN HAVE GPRS!
for some reason i gotta off and on my fone again to get it to register...
either that or manually register to the ST-GSM network...
Hope this helps.

hey guys, if my number 4 key is not responding well do you think i should bring it down to the service centre or just unscrew and do it myself? if i bring down, how long do you think they will take to fix it ah? can do immediately or must leave there?
also, my joystick like not as stiff as before leh... can they do anything about it ah?

@mrbunglez
Opening your phone will invalidate your warranty. Let the service point people check it out for you.

hey guys...about this sending sms via GPRS... I would like to ask about something
1) Sending 1 sms costs RM0.20
2) GPRS is RM0.20 per 20KB block
So... if I send sms via GPRS and I send 20KB worth of SMSes (which i think is ALOT) then do you think i'll just be paying RM0.20 or I'll still be charged for each SMS?
Hope someone can help... no use asking my service provider ppl.... they knw nuts
Posted by MarkOng
If I'm not wrong, you should be billed according to your GPRS charges.
Posted by gilthoniel

You don't pay a single cent anyway.
BTW, can anyone comfirm with me wheather the phone/usb cable will allow my phone to hook up to the PC and go online using the current connection?
If yes, how do you configure the phone?
Posted by cwchee
Also, anyone know where to get that cable at a cheap price?
My friend told me I could get the original one @ Suntec city at $67.
Is there any price cheaper than this?

gilthoniel---> i am too busy .. i think i will go down when the new sw is out ..
Posted by cwchee
This may be a bit off topic (but what topic is there in this thread).
Anway, you guys should have heard about the banning of games in Greece.
I, myself think that this is way too wrong (who isn't a gamer) and would like anyone who thinks that this is wrong to go to www.petitiononline to sign the petition.
Just think about our govenment banning games publicly that is!
Posted by orang3
what kinda games are you talking about ?
Posted by dairin
anyone got any idea when is the new software will be out ??
Posted by orang3
ard i 1 mth + ..... if i am not wrong ..
Posted by gilthoniel
ok no prob orang3. i'll also probably go down when the new sw is out.
hey cwchee, which shop in chinatown did u go to for the GBA? I'm getting it soon so i wanna know where's the place i can get the best deal.
And how much are the games? pirated one of course....
Posted by cwchee
The shops that are selling these GBAs are located in the mall know as Chinatown Complex.
Just walk ur way through the 1st and 2nd story and you should be able to find quite a few shops. Then ask for price from each shop before going back to the cheapest shop and bargain.
Th price may not be what I have said as prices rises and fluctuates.
If you find the place selling things to ex, go Sim Lim square.

Haven't you read?
The government is banning all games that are played publicly and considers them as gambling.
So if you are caught playing even with ur T68 in the streets of Greece. You're dead.
So no more net cafes with counter strike or whatsoever.
Posted by MarkOng
Man, that sucks. I read in the forum pages the other day about some naive nut asking why doesn't the govenment ban smoking instead of just banning small packs. Wonder where he comes from, I'd like to kick his ass two days from friday. Doesn't he know the govenment is making loads of money off cigarettes and liquor taxes?
Posted by orang3
i guess the gov wanna make big bucks .. as they does nt earn much frm the small pack .. tht gave them a reason to stop the small pkg by saying it is to prevent the youngseter frm smking.. i guess the older gen will have the prob as the youngsters get money frm their parents ...

Hey Guys,
I like you all to go inside this website http://mobile.burn.com/review.jsp?Id=82 there is a topic talking about the SE MCA-20 vs N7650 built in camera. And also the announcing of the releasing new Nokia MMS phones on the 4Q. Happy reading.

either you love it or you hate it Posted by MarkOng
I still don't get what's people's gripe with output resolution and all with the mca-20 and 7650. Its meant to be used for storing pictures in your phones, as mms or email attachments, It's never replace a real digital camera. What do people expect now? a digital SLR on their phone?

Damm I hate the SE in Singapore!
They just came out with the R600 and within a month T200 was out!
And I bought the R600. I really hate that! No advestisments nothing!

Hahaha don't u know alot ppl don't know much abt the product itself so they just expect the best from the phone they bought or should i say they just expect blindly without knowing what's going on.
If u open the site that Tony given, u can see that SE MCA-20 is not bad when compare with N7650, some of the pic is better than N7650's cam.

guys, do u notice that when u have upgraded ur T68->T68i version when there is incoming sms while u're writing new sms, the phone never notice u by beeping or show notice that there is new sms after u finish writing the new sms, the phone only show sms icon so u can miss it after u write sms if u dun really take notice of the icon there.
anyone notice this issue??
Posted by orang3
hmm never really notice tht with my t68mi.. but my t68i will give you a notice .. even when you are writing.. a sms ..
Posted by dairin
i found that T68mi doesnt give u any notice after u finish writing a new sms ..... hope other ppl can try out and give some feedback on this....
Posted by orang3
what do you mean i dont get it ..
Posted by mrbunglez
hey, does anyone know where i can get the HPM-10 MP3 player cheap? anyone has it? can tell me whether worth the money not? or just buy MP3 player more worth it?
Posted by dairin
orang3->what i mean is when u're writing a new sms then got 1 sms coming in,T68mi will not notice u like what T68m always do. I notice T68m will prompt u that a new sms is available for reading and ask u whether u want to read it or not. As forT68mi, it will only show the sms icon.

No idea on my side, never had that happen at such accurate timing!
Had a friend that went to centrepoint on sunday. Someone knocked into him while he was sms-ing, leaning over the railing. Someone knocked into him and he dropped his phone 3 storeys down. And you know what? Not a scratch! Except for the battery clip that came off, the phone was working fine. Just had a look at his phone yesterday. He had to stick the battery with scotch tape until he can find the time to go down to the sesc. That's a real durable phone man!
