Well from the moment i got this phone the vodaphone stuff is really getting me on my nerves . I started reading several threads here to find a way to get rid of the damn RED . I tried the trick of filling the device till 0kb free , then before the preview delete the vodafone pictures . didn't work out ..
Read some other thread about flashing the firmware . I'm a bit confused by all this new information .
Some things :
*vodafone T610 can only be flashed with another version of vodafone FW ?
*I don't use the vodafone network with my phone , i use proximus . does this mean my flash memory is alredy unlocked --> i can flash any FW on the phone ?
Concrete : what is my best chance to get rid of the ugly RED and ugly icons and just use a nice theme . I can get my hands on a a cradle for P800/P900 (usb) ... Computer knowledge : high

I will make only one comment which is mostly an advise to all future mobile buyers.
Never buy a mobile that the provider has messed with it, because they change a lot of things with software and is very hard to get rid of it.

I have a T610 on vodafone (with the most recent software version) but I would like to do 2 things: get rid of the horrendous vodafone menus and make it so i can also use my O2 sim card in the same phone - one for minutes one for texts. I get the impression that flashing the firmware to an older version may do something to help this... I have been folloowing a lot of threads but I haven't seen anything taht really answers both my questions. Btw I live in London so it would be really helpful if people could give me some places to go and try to fix this. Thanks!
