What if i want to be deleted completely from Esato?
Posted by Cycovision
Same thing, PM Laffen. He's in charge of the database!
No point deleting your account though really, if you just stop visiting Esato nobody's going to contact you asking why

Indeed, Yoda . What about if I vanish for a long while? Will my account be deleted if it remains inactive after a while?
Posted by masseur
moderators cannot delete accounts and indeed accounts are generally not deleted.
please take the advice of PMing laffen if you wish to change your email address
thanks

Wouldn't that clog up Esato's database, Masseur? Do Esato ever do spring-cleaning, sort of?
Posted by masseur
I can only repeat that we do not delete accounts, people simply stop using them. even banned accounts remain on the database

whoa, posted that 7 months ago, and I finally get some decent replies

I'm sure they can be made inactive, but to delete may make it hard to search old posts under that name etc.
And if an account where deleted, new accounts with the same name could be created, this would cause some confusion

i wish to delete my account and all of my posts i've ever had on this forum, so they wouldn't be visible on the google search, how can i do it?
Posted by masseur
as mentioned before in the topic, we don't tend to delete account or posts.
in any case... unfortunately, with the history that google keeps, its unlikely your posts or username will dissapear for sometime, no matter what happens happens here.
if you PM me your exact concern I will try to see what we can do to help with that issue

damnit you dragged me back 5 years later for THIS?!

@ djordje1yu : amazing job to find this thread. @ Vicx : did you turn notification on. @ both : PM Laffen to change your e-mail. PM Masseur to change your username. After that delete all your profile info and be almost invisable.

@hihihans: that feature was not available when we joined Esato. i thought the same though.
