Nokia 3200, two questions

Hi, as the topic says,

1) Does a Nokia 3200 sold in Sweden comes with a handsfree for the radio, or do I need to buy one separat?

2) Will I be able to both send pictures from the phone and use Nokia PC Suite if I buy one of those tiny IrDa adaptors? I was thinking of one of those who plugs into the USB port on the computer, and looks almost like an USB-memory.

Thanks

The only question i can answer is number one because i dont own a nokia myself.

the radio handsfree should be in the package no mather what country you buy it.

I bought the 3200 the other day. It came with a HF but it was a mono HF, not the stereo version. But I'm still a happy camper, really like the phone

Does anyone know how can I play a full length midi file on nokia 3200?

The midi file was created using Nokia Sound Converter Suite 5.64.
I emailed the midi file as an attachment to my phone then save it to
gallery folders.

When I attempt to play the midi file.. It says "unable to open file."

Now the annoying thing was when I transfered it to nokia 3650. It seemlessly played that midi file. It is about 25K in size.

Another question is how can I transfer my nokia 3200 images to my pc
using IR port. Whenever I am transferring my files through IR port, the IR application easily recognized the phone as "nokia 3200 etc..." but transferring will be interrupted after a few moments.

Does anyone know a tools or procedures?

Please help.... Thanks!

Both the nokia's support 16 chord polys so why is it a problem? Strange.

Anyone know where can I download nokia fashion phone driver for windows 98. I need it because whenever I am pointing my nokia 3200 phone on IR port of my PC. The computer will display other device found and will look for fashion phone driver.

I think that the two phones have 24bit polyphony and not 16bit.

Anyone know how can I increase the receive buffer of IR from 64K to available memory of my nokia 3200.. Thanks!

I had a Nokia 3200 for a little while, and bought an IrDa adapter to try to transfer images/ringtones between the phone and the PC. I had the same problem - they wouldn't communicate! No matter what I tried, it wouldn't connect properly. The computer would see it, but kept throwing up error messages whenever I tried to transfer anything.

I think this has something to do with Nokia's use of the infra red port, I think they 'crippled' it like they did with Bluetooth, the phone would only talk to other Nokias only over the IrDa. I couldn't get the adapter to talk to an 8310 I had either, it may be better to spend the money on a DKU-5 (I think that's the code!) cable instead.

Try using nokia 5.64 PC Suite together with IRMon on win98, It did well on transferring to and from nokia 3200. But it has some limitations like, size limit , and it cannot transfer sms messages from phone to simcard memory.

Anyone know where to download midp application to play
mp3 or wav or play movie file in nokia 3200? Thanks!

Radio handsfree kit is not a standard accessory for 3200 but sometimes u can find the stereo handsfree on the box.
Yes.. U can do both things. Ir connections are not that much stable as cable.. So it can interrupt.
try to buy a DKU 5 cable which is support for pc suit and image transfer via nokia image converter

I have problems sending pictures on my email through ny nokia 3200. everytime i try to send pictures, it would say that the "message sending failed". i don't know why. My mms and gprs are ok but still i can't send.

Also, there's this one time that i'm listening to my radio through the headset but the sound suddenly went gone and up to now i can't listen to my radio using the headset but i have to use a loudspeaker to hear it.... How can i solve these two major problems especially the first one...please help!!!!!

1st of all, u can't use bluetooth or irda to send stuff to laptops or other phones cuz Nokia won't allow it. If u have a symbian based phone u can send and receive pics but not sounds.Again, Nokia won't allow it. Same thing thru email...it might have (i am sure actually) something to do with the fact that Nokia won't allow u to
So, i think u should reconsider when buying Nokia (also samsung) especially cuz of this. This is the MAIN reason why i keep away from these 2 maunfacturers cuz it'[s stupid to have a camera and the producer to limit the usage..hell, that's why i am buying it to use it!!

Got it all wrong!!! Do u own a Nokia 3200!!!

1) To transfer images, you must have a suitable nokia cable or a suitable IRda adapter. Connect your mobile to your computer, to transfer sounds use the Nokia Phone Browser. When you open Nokia Phone Browser a windows will open with a bunch of nokia icons, after a few seconds an icon will appear with a picture of a phone labled 'Nokia 3200'. Click it and a new windows will appear with a 'Gallery' folder. Click this and you can view all the media on your phone (Tones, Graphics etc). Drag and drop to and from this folder to transfer to and from your pc. This is the easy way to upload, download media between the two (mobile and pc).

2) You can also use Nokia Sound Converter to transfer polyphonic ringtones, but you really only need to use this program to transfer tones if you need to edit them if the specific .mid file has too many chords (the maximum is 16 chords!).

3) This proves you can't only send and receive media to and from nokia phones, but you can also (with the Nokia 3200) send and receive from a computer. You don't have to have Symbian OS mobile!!!!

P.S: Honestly guys, get it right! 701, Nokia phone do allow you to transfer and receive to and from a laptop using Nokia mobiles, you just have to know how to do it.

Go to: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,54691,00.html
to get the newest Nokia PC Suite software.
