as mentioned in the Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style) you cannot change the message alert tone on the T610 or any other
phone except the P800 and P900

To be a bit more precise: you can change it be you can only choose from the ones already on the phone

::-) you're quite right vlam, I'll try to be a little more precise with that answer in future. Of course I always live in hope that it won't get asked again after wrath000's faq and the numerous times a week it already gets asked... I'm an optimist you see!
