Connecting P900 to Headphones/external speakers ?

I often read posts asking for an adapter.
I can provide a stereo 2.5mm - 3.5mm converter, it sticks out the side 22mm when in the p900.
It is Ł2.99 + Ł1 P&P. (Within UK)

pachy, does this mean that I can use my 2,5mm equipment in an 3,5 mm connector?
