T68 does not show "Optimised Charging" or Green LED when charging

as above, my t68 doesn't show the "Optimised Charging" screen or show the Green LED when charging (i know it cos the charger is warm and the battery indicator would show an increase in batt after restarting the phone).. just a weeks ago it was still working properly.. any idea what went wrong?

brought it down to a sevice point and the technician tried to clean the connectors and phone interior but it still doesn't work.. after that he recommended flashing to an older firmware (my current one is r8a015)..

Buy a new battery! The same happened to my battery a while ago. Apparently the electronic inside the battery broke down and it wont be recognized as Ericsson no more :-(

Usually happens when the phone thinks It's an un original battery :-(
