Piece of crap, sincerely, I had two in my hands in a shop ( demonstartion ) the first was out of order ( crashed ) the second crashed after 2seconds of use and poor built quality !!!

I think its great as a general gadet, It slike having an MP3 player, a radio and a games console (allbeit a crappy 1) in your pocket. When somthing tries to do everything then each of its individual functions get worse!

personally.... my need for a good PHONE is much much bigger than my need for a games console... and as a phone I find it very inconvenient. So I am no fan of N-Gage.

I play the same .sis and Java games on my N-Gage as people play on their 3650's and 6600's. The N-Gage is just cheaper. What I really like about it is the music and Internet/IM/IRC features.

Ah come on, for years the only sites that we could find was for nokia, their are thousands sites/forum/community whatever, every time I looked for images for my Ericsson T39m I stumbled on pure Nokia pages, even with ERICSSON in google it gave me nokia.
It has allways been Nokia, I see it with my operator, images/ringtones/games only for nokia, there is a menu for tother phones but guess what , nothing in there !. Now that finally there is a site about SE phones and with free stuffs for us some Nokia fans has to post everytime how crap SE is and Nokia is the best.
How it will be if we SE fans come to nokia forums and do the same ! I hate that, just stop with it, if you like Nokia go to your thousands of forums but please let this one be ours ! Thanks.

after hvin it for 3 weeks
I can safely say that it is very buggy
the Mp3 player worked at random
besides that.. everything was fine and great (also locking the keypad was a whore)
I'd recommend it to a non-biz/non-mobile savvy person

Like I've said a million times I come here because there's people here who talk bullshit about Nokia but have hardly ever tried the phones in question. I don't HATE SE. The N-Gage for example. If it's a piece of crap, then the 3650 must be too (which is funny because it's the best selling Symbian device) as they are almost identical software wise. The other adds a camera and the other adds music & gaming features. It can be buggy atm I agree but that will be fixed as the FW versions develop. But the features really are good. The keypad takes getting used to but it requires extremely little force to use. The softkeys and the rocker key also work like a dream. As does the Series 60 UI which you know nothing about. WAP/Internet is good, IRC/MSN/ICQ/AOL is good, MMS is good, BT is good, ringtones are good, MP3's are good, FM radio is good, BUILD QUALITY IS GOOD (no creaking.). The games I've tried are good. Especially Flo Boarding which is a free game by Nokia. The 3D graphics are excellent (no delays), especially the lightning effects.But you just want to hate the thing. Because it's a Nokia. You can make all the fun you want about it looking like a taco but if you knew anything about Symbian and smartphones, you couldn't just say it's a piece of crap. Because there's more to it than just the odd poor-graphics game you've maybe tried.
I currently have the 3.30 firmware in my N-Gage and everything works. I'm especially fond of the stereo headset. MP3's sound AWESOME through it. You can skip to the next song (or channel if you listen to the radio) by pressing the button on the headset. The music automatically stops when someone calls and the headset can be set to auto-answer. It also supports voice commands.

No nokia phones have inbuilt radio. Maybe they call it a innbuilt radio it isnt. the radio is on the outside off the phone and you have to conect it to the phone to make it work. The only thing nokia done whas to include it with the phone and make a menu that is named radio. Then they called it a inbuilt radio and sold like hell.

Apart from the 3650, the smaller size of th e3650 makes up for the lack of a touch screen! and the 3650 can record sound with its video!

had a go on an n-gage and liked the game play, its definitely worth looking at if your into gaming on a handheld platform...if your not you shouldnt be reading this thread.

To the guy above. The upgraded phone is never released 'next month'. And it is a natural progression, and usually takes a year or so (7250i came out a year after the 7250)

Nokia releasing successors to their phones every month is a typical Esato lie (8 months is the shortest time in which Nokia has released a successor to its phone).
Like the 5100 for example. It was introduced in November 2002 and the 5140 followed a year later. The period of time was even bigger with the 7650 > 6600. The 7210 was announced in March 2002 and the 7250 in November 2002 (last summer they made some SW changes like an XHTML browser to and renamed it to 7250i), if you want to think it replaced the 7210. Same thing for 8910 and 8910i except that they definetely did replace each other. The 3660 followed a year after the 3650. As did the 6810 & 6820 after the 6800. Everything else you think is replacing is just different segmeting. The 6220 btw was announced in March and will be sold for quite a while before the 6230 arrives.
One of my best laughs at an Esato member was when Nokia announced the 3300. With his f**k-all knowledge, knowing nothing about Series 40 or 60, without even looking at the specs but only the form factor, he declared "oh look now they already made the N-Gage's successor, nokia sux".
And whats all this "having to buy the newest phone"? That's not what a normal user does.

@flying finn: yeah it's a lie that nokia gives out a successor every month, but it's is true that nokia gives out a model every month with a different number but with almost the same features......
it's just like saying: t630 is a sucessor of the t610 that sucks!
but if se would rename t630 to t710 and they would still keep selling t610 that would in your logic be perfectly fine...........
nokia has at least 6 models in each catergory se has top 2 models
people at esato are pissed of because if you buy a nokia you will definetly have a better model for the same money next month in stores, but hey you say the this isn't bad because it isn't a sucessor!
i know from my own experiences, I bought a 3510i for my kid the other day but wow a 3100 for the same money was out next month!! but hey that isn't a sucessor in your logic so that's just fine!!

i for one dont give a rats ar$e who makes a good phone, i'm a buy it regardless...althoug i steer clear of Moto's but thats just personal and may change inthe future...at least i'm open to the possibility.
SE aint all that, most of you who support them like football teams havent even had mobiles long enough to be listened to...just check the 'what was your first phone' thread to see people's history and then judge whether they're even worth listening to when discussing which brand is best.
my T610 suits me fine for now but next up could well be a Nokia...for all the right reasons not because i wear them on my chest.

One things for sure, Nokia has 10 phones almost alike, at the same time.
N-Gage is not new stuff. Just a symbian 6.1/Series 60 phone with a game emulator software (and this we know it's true 'cos the games can be played in, i think, all series 60 phones, even SX1).
It's just like a "mophun" thing.
So (and i'm talking about the core thing and not Ir, BT, FM radio, etc..):
7650 = 3650 = 3660 = N-Gage = 6600 = 7200
6100 = 6150 = 7210 = 7250 = 7250i = 3200 = 3510i = 5100 = 6220 = 6210
And the Can't-transfer-pics-with-my-(almost every series 40)-to-another-phone-only-VCards feature, is a great improvement for Nokia.
And just to name a few.
Not that i care much, the only thing happening is that you buy a phone today and next month it's value dropped 50%.
And I think that i speak for 80% of the users here:
