T310 and cleaning of memory

I saw somewhere on this forum replacment for 13second trick. It goes like this: After master reset, use sound recording and record "nothing" until memory is full. I did that. What is interesting is next: It left all preinstalled stuff(pictures, sounds, games etc...) in the phone, but it gives me 640KB of memory instead of 540KB I had when bought phone. Now, I expected preinstalled stuff to be erased(and as I can remember person who tells about this trick said it would happen), but those stuff left on the phone, and I got 100KB more!, Strange, I wonder what were those "invisibille" things which were erased and gives 100KB more...
