going back to the old days before colour screens what was people's very first phone.

mine was the amazing sony j5 which was ahead of its time as far as i was concerned. It was the lightest and slimmest phone of its time, and it had polyphonic ringtones which no other phone had. It also had a 4 clour grey scale screen (high tech for ya).

now i have a t610 which is an amazing phone.

We can't have two topics on identical issues running at the same time.
I've locked the old one so lets' continue here.

@floke
Good job with the search engine
Last post in that topic was made 2002-08-08 06:06, then you bring it back to life 2003-11-24 17:47. At 2003-11-24 18:35 you reffer to it here...
A bit unessesary if you sak me...

Anyway...
My first phone was a Ericsson Hotline, back in the late 80s'. Right big bugger that was.

My first phone was an Ericsson GF768 - the blue flip phone. I thought it was so small back then. Now I laugh at its one line pixel LED backlit screen and the left arrow key that now moves a full 360 degrees!

Quality retro phone!!

First phone I can remember having is the house brick Motorola M301 flip phone. Took the credit card size sim and had a real sad extractable ariel. Must have been about 6-7 years ago. Mobile phones have come a long way since those days

Trium Mars (This had WAP, and in 1999/2000, that was amazing!) > Nokia 5110 (Coz my friends got one!) > Nokia 6150 (for free!) > Nokia 7110 (That was great, sooo many features) > SE T300 > SE T68i

Quite a few and I'm only 14!!!

Ps. My Dad had a carphone (old handset in the centre console) before GSM Networks. What network/signal that worked on I don't know, but I'd like to know. Any idea's!?

One more thing, what network is everybody on/have been on?

For me O2 (was BTCellnet), Orange, T-Mobile (4 2 days!) and now Virgin Mobile! 3p texts here i come!!!!

o it's good to remember your old phones..

N6110 - quite advanced for it's day.
Ericsson T28 - soooo small, due a colour screen remake, i think.
N7250 - the blue lights were just so cool.
Ericsson T68(i) - this thing had it all!
SE T610 - great phone, but too popular these days!

(i doubt ill get many takers on this forum, but ive still got the 7250 if anyone wants to make an offer!)

From what i can remember, after the mr20 i got a nec phone on cellnet. Don't know why, then i got a c12, chipped for the free credit. Funny story about that phone. Got a c12 chipped but after about 4 months it got nicked by some prick. 3 weeks after he nicked the phone he got raided by the police and they did him for having a chipped phone.

Mine was a Motorola Flare.
It was pretty old - credit card sim and it didn't have a proper battery indicator! It just had a icon of a battery (or car battery) and it would flash when it would be close to dying.
I miss it...
