Heya everyone.
Today I did something evil.
A person has been trying to reach me
and I do not wanna talk to it so
I added the person to the contact list and
the persons phonenr's to that contact
then went and made a new melody in the composer
I called it Ignore added one tone and before that tone
I set the ringsignal level to 0.
Then I assinged the new contact with that ring signal.
Afterwards I only see a cpl of missed calls when I check the screen
cause the phone do not ring when that person calls.
So thats my contrib to Tips&Tricks how to make an Ignore list hehehe
Have fun!

Yes, I figued out how to do this myself as well
Although, I want some secret games for the T68i
Posted by tranquil
That is very useful actually, I've had to use that a couple of times myself on some of the phones at work. I tell you all: it does work. After a few attempts, whoever the ignore-person is, he or she will give up... Very usefull indeed. KS

just make sure that the other person doesn't know, or he/she'll disable CLI
Posted by Deltayoda
lol, good point doubleduh.
Posted by doubleduh
you can also do it the other way around, only assign ringtones to persons you know and put make the default ringtone silent, it can work if you have 10 (I beleave that's the limit

I have not got that many friends....

another way is to go to your accecpt call option in your profiles and select those whom you will accept their calls .. it is better if you group them first .. then the others not in the group would be ignore ... i always do tht to those irritating ppl's...
Posted by jorg47
You can also press C button and the sound turns off...
Posted by orang3
yeah ... but it is really troublesome .. to press the C whenever you receive this irritating calls...
Posted by Lusipher
I guess if you bind the "none sound melody" to ???????? you dont need to hear them even if they turn of cli
(havent tryed it out tough)

Why not use Accept Calls and create a list of persons you allow?
Posted by Deltayoda
Because then those people that you want to talk too and aren't on your list can't reach you.

this thread must be named ' a SINGLE TIP FOR t68i ' hahaha!
i thought imma find something new, but then it only has a singLe tip and a bunch of comments. nice job though -peace!

or you could just slide the volume key up when they call you. that way it doesn't rign
Posted by arroyootje
I really wish that the next update would have an accept list with the option not to accept people....
Posted by Banava3
Well first of all I made some operations with my sp and now when I press the no button on an incoming call it directs the call to a voice message box so people think that my phone is shut
after then I made groups of people that I always talk and want to communicate (about 30 people) then I set the phone that it rejects any other person trying to call me.
Guess what happens now only those 30-40 can call me the others hear the voice message so they think that I don't use the phone so they can't disturb me
the good thing is that I can see who tryied to talk to me!
haha hope it's usefull

While we're all on the subject, is there a way I can assign a single ringtone to a group? Let's say I've placed all family members in one group and I want a ringtone for the family, do I have to go under each person and separately give them that ringtone or can I give the group the ringtone and so, consequently, anyone under the group inherits that ringtone too?
Please help.

@mimzo: sori dude, i think u cnt assign a ringing tone to a group (unlike with nokia), u still have 2 assign individually. I think the \"group\" function is used for sms sending solely.

i thought about this one for a while and realised the current option is sufficient.
if someone calls you and doesnt get through, then tries to call you again without displaying their number they will get through.
this makes it obvious you've blocked them.
if you dont accept calls from restricted numbers then your back to square one of only accepting from a list.
there's a few different scenario's but when you add them all up it still amounts to being best that you set a list to accept from rather than having a blocked one as people can always find out if they're blocked but if you have an accepted list it's not personal and therefore not offensive to any individual.
the only way the blocked list would work would be if there was no way of restricting your number from showing.
my thoughts anyhow, think about it.

Real Tip.
Service-menu: >*<<*<* (to see your firmware version etc.) < joystick left, > joystick right.
I do however take no responsibility should you play with the settings and mess up your phone!!!

How do you ignore a range eg starting with 045

Useful Tip!!!!
To switch from T9 to Multitap, instead of pressing on the # sign, press * instead and you'll toggle between the two modes. It's a lot faster.
Hope you find this useful!

I know you can assign special ringtones to 10 or less people right?
Is there anyway of doing this? When someone calls, a certain picture/background appears?
I think I saw this when i was in HK and they had a commercial from 123.com that did this.
any ideas?
thanks
Posted by barqy
OH wait i figured it out.
for anyone who cares, go under my pictures, press the joystick inward when you select a picture and you can choose "add contact"
Posted by shithappens
yup...ditto that.....but let it be known that it whacks a lot outta the phone memory to haf a caller id'ed with his/her own personal pix....go for a group pix to avoid that....cheers!!

by assigning picture to contact don't occupy lots of memory. so it's no an worries to assign picture. be happy dude

Could any1 tell me how can I get sms delivery notificationson my t68i? (ie receive a message or something similar when the sms I sent is delivered) .I asked all the mobile phones retaillers but nobody knew anything about it . I also phoned orange and t-mobile customer service but they didn't know either .Nothing is mentioned bout it on the help section of the site and I could'nt find anything relevant to previus forums .Thanx

menu > messages > SMS > stus request . This is delivery report, it wont give u an sms tho, just a popup sayin delivered for a few sec
Posted by mscarrot
or try typing *0# before each new sms that you want to send, then you should receive a sms back that it is delivered....
Posted by vilkur
If you use the menu function (status request), when you send your messages, you will see:
1. a short notification
2. an easily understandable icons in the sent message list.
also, if you scroll the sent messages list and press the function key, a menu appears and there is a choice: message status.
very easy. i donīt personally like these stupid message delivery reports in my inbox.
Posted by orang3
the reports would nt be in ur inbox .. it just inform u tht's all ..
Posted by tubelesstyre
I am sorry guys but when I go to menu>messages>sms I only have 7 options from which none is status request ( write new,,inbox, unsent, templates, sent items, options, memory status). In the options there is nothing relevant. Also when I go to the "sent" messages ,if I press the options button , there is a choise "view status" but it is always in grey letters so I cannot press it . I know that orange provides message reports because I was getting them in my previus alcatel phone . Any other ideas ? The thing with the *0# is not working... The software I am using is R2E006 (if this is the software version)
