Nokia makes bad phones but they sell anyway because afterall, it says nokia on the cover.
Even though
has said that they maybe wont be profitable in hole 03 they have been profitable in Q3 and most probably will be in Q4.
Ericsson has also got their "nose above the water" and most economics people think that the Ericsson share is better to buy than the Nokia.
Also in Sweden,
has past nokia in sales so, yes is a company on the way to the top!

Why do you say Nokia make bad phones?? Nokia don't necessarily have the latest technology, but 95% of people only care about voice calls, texting and increasingly photo messaging. Nokia generally handles these areas very well. A phone is good if it meets the customers needs, and Nokia phones do this for most people.

i've read press releases the made it quite clear this problem is specific only to 3rd party batteries and not once happened with original Nokia accessories, but if you know otherwise then please provide evidence....a simple link will do.

But at least
have put out warnings and admitted they had made faulty chargers. They didn't just say "that's not our chargers" or "the company we hired to make them did it" but they said "We made a mistake, we would like to sort it out. Bring us the dangerous chargers to us and you'll get a new safe one.". Now wich of the examples are best?

Se was started two years ago when Ericsson realised that they were doing very bad. How can you suppose a company that people still think make the same phones Ericsson made to be doing well. Se is as I said on the way to the top and nokia is going down. Of course in statistics nokia is still on top but I think that with companies that sell services it is the customers opinion that matters. And I think that there are going to be a lot more people who change from Nokia to
next year than the other way around (espicially after thier exploding chargers that they're trying to denie).

Intel sell almost double the amount of graphics chips that either ATI or NVidia produce. Doesn't mean that Intel make a better product or that ATi or Nvidia's products dont sell well, just that Intel make items that are thought of as a commodity where as NVida and ATi products are only brought by theose who wont the best. Doesnt mean either ATi or Nvidia are "going down" does it.
Ford sells a massive amount more cars each year than Jaguar does. Doesnt mean Jaguar's "going down" either.
Ericsson makes craploads of money from selling equipment to operators, Sony is also rolling in it. It can always poor more money into SE if it needs it, SE is certainly not gonna go bust anytime soon.
And plus the fact this forumis primarily about supporting Sony Ericsson customers who wish to discuss there phones. If you dont like SE then instead of trying to explain to us why SE is soo amazingly bad why not just not buy there product or go to another forum? (Totally out of curiosity you understand, Im asking, not trying to be hostile)

I think SE needs to change.First of all...Se needs to start looking more to the youth.Adults don't really care that much about cameras and polyringtones.The T610 can be considered a youth phone because its in the same price range.THe reason the T610 stinks...ITS UGLY!!!!Also all of you say how good SE is.Well if there such great phones then why is their reception well below par.Personally I don't like nokia,but they know what looks good and what sells.Nokia batteries kill SE batteries.Nokia reception is better than SE.What is more important to people...Bluetooth or Reception.The only reason Nokia is on top is because 4 years ago they made a game called snake and had changable covers.Now for Samsung and Panasonic.They are the future.Samnsung has been releasing phones like crazy.They are also the most innovative...TV phone,CDMA/GSM phone,Phones with 2 hour video recording.Nokia will go down sooner or later..but Se will go down much sooner.I see a merge between Samsung and Nokia sometime in the furure.

the reason why so many nokias are sold is because they break easily-being a dealer we take so many broken nokia 3310,5210,8310,3210,5110 and others as trade ins against 3410's. the reason why people dont get se is because why would you want to spend £250 on sim free t610 when can get 3410 for £50.?
what is the breakdown of pre pay vs post pay?
there is not a se phone on pre pay that is world wide that you can get for £50.

Some of the smallest car manufacturers make the most interesting cars.
Although Nokia has a large turnover of units, it does not (& never does) mean the product is "better" as it may be the result of pricing that causes most buyers to choose Nokia's over SE.
SE phones are often expensive meaning people who buy them are often happy to pay MORE for their own reasons.
This forum is frequented mainly by people who consider SE to be the best available.
If i was offerred the chance to own a mobile phone company to get money to feed my children, i would choose Nokia. but you can be sure i would carry on using my P900
