Looks nice, but I still like the P900 better.

ohhhh, when will it be available?
Posted by bossjohnc
It has IR, Bluetooth and USB connectivity!
And it takes SD Cards!!!
UIQ 2.1, touchscreen, 100g, watch out SE!
BENQ are also known for incredibly good value - can't wait to see a price.

Exactly. And it's compatible with Px00 software! My only concern is the external antenna and somewhat strange design but i'd buy this phone instead of a P900 anytime, if the price will be reasonable.
Pachy: I'd consider something a bit newer, but if you like retro stuff, why not, go for it!

bit of an old joke now though (isn't it?)

Any idea if this is going to be released in the UK / Europe? Every story just mentions taiwan in Q3.

I dont find it aesthetically palatable.

jebus, that's an ugly phone ...
that said, i'd be willing to put up with a late-eighties design for the advantages it has over the p800/p900 ...
it would seem that we can't have design AND functionality ...

Its a motorola... that says it all.
l wouldnt buy it.

It's all Pachy's fault!
Ignore his link, it's for a motorola MR30, many years old. Check the link in the first post for the Benq P30.
This is not a joke...
[Edit]:
Masseur - you are very much mistaken!

nice phone, but getting a bit big I think, what with a screen the same saize as the p900, and a fixed keypad below it.
My-symbian comparison
http://my-symbian.com/uiq/compare.php
Personally I prefer the p900
Posted by bossjohnc
Thing is, according to that table it's smaller. It may be a couple of mm longer, and only a couple of mm, but it's also a whopping 7mm slimmer, and 10mm slimmer than the P800, that's a whole 1cm off the back.
This obviously means, as the resolution is the same, the screen must be smaller. This might be an issue with accuracy using the stylus, or a con for those with less than good eyesight.

Yeah, it's certainly nice, you can't say anything about that. But I anyway prefer the P900, it's the overall impression.
