E700 is evil

i discoverd this earlier today whilst watching TV about 3 meteres away from TV the phone rang and i answered t and i noticed the screen was flickering!

to see if this was a coincident or not i made another call same result

i had seen this happen when i put my hand set next to or on a tv the screen would flicker but from 3 meteres!

the SAR rating must be astronomical!

furthermore when i activate the camera the screen flickers again from 3 meteres!

I tested this on my small and a large TV ones panasonic ones Sony same result

be carefull or the E700 will kill you.

does this happen when the phone is close to the monitor because that is acceptable

but from 3 meteres god thats powerfull SAR!

I've had a similary problem with my T616. when near my computer, and my Pc Speakers are on, if I get a phone call, or SMS, The Speakers emit a very loud, annoying noise. The closer the phone, the louder the noise. It sounds like a drunk Trumpet Player!

Posted by nixin
how close was the handset 3 meteres?

Posted by floke
@DIDDY: thats normal. Every phone will do that! But on 3m disturbing a tv - thats not normal!

Posted by Vlammetje
erm... the sound even occurs when my downstairs neighbour gets a call on his cell... disturbs myy tv sound and nixin yes when i transmit data n as much as 5 m from my pc my monitor will flicker.

But din't worry I will see my neurologist 1`st thing tomorrow!

In the meantime my e700 is on the way as it's got only a 3 m radius which is already 2 m less

Oh yeah.... and for a list of SAR values and an explanation what SAR is, click here altho this list looks like it hasn't been updated in many years

EDIT: it was viet!
young Vietnamese woman was injured after her mobile phone apparently exploded, a spokesman for manufacturer Nokia (news - web sites) said Thursday.

Chung Xao Le, 22, was having breakfast Wednesday in a cafeteria at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City where she worked as a therapist when her phone in her pocket, a Nokia 8210, exploded.

"We are investigating the blast," said Nguyen Huu Nguyen, a communications officer for the Finnish company's office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Le suffered from burns of 10 percent and remains in hospital.

Nokia has sent a team of technicians to investigate the blast, which could have been caused by a fake battery, Nguyen said.

Contraband and counterfeit mobile phone batteries are widely available in the local markets at around $2-$3 a piece compared to $20 for genuine product, Nguyen said.
