I for 1 am extremely dissapointed. Yes, it looks flash, and has the potential of looking even flasher once Sweet-Heart gets on the case of designing up some skins.

But, in terms of ease-of-use it is DREADFUL!

On my first impressions I'll defo be sticking to the much more useful Handyday.

Gonna play around with it for the trial period and then make up my mind.

i wa well lookin forward to the release of tracker 3.... now that its here.... well.....

kinda reminds me of the winamp saga. when they released version 3 it looked sweet. finally u could make the winamp that YOU wanted. but after some time you get sick of all the fancy stuff and just want the damn thing to work as efficiently as possible.... back to winamp 2.91

tracker 3 is kinda the same. it has lots of new features that will come to good use. its just that the current skins suck (IMO). ave to wait until some clever sod makes a good skin... i would try myself. just cant be arsed right now.

all in all its a good app....

have to agree - although t3 wasn't designed as a today type application, that's the kind of app that i want. it's the lack of flexibility in displaying tasks, calendar items, etc that stops me dumping handyday ...

I don't like the way that the task manager is now a separate program. That was the most useful function in T1/2 for me. Also, I don't like the way the icons just float around on the desktop. In Windows, I always use the "Align to Grid" option. I dislike messy icons!

I dislike the lack of possibility to change the background at wish anytime (without plunging to a PC). In T2 when I get back to office just swap an exotic background picture back to the blandest wallpaper with ease.

Still drains my battery quick. Had this same issue with V2.0 and V3.0 is the same

Still running handy Day......

i just dont like the fact that everytime you change skin, you have to create new shortcuts for the skin.. very tedious if you fancy changing skins..

The apps is quite ok. Looks really nice if you use good skins (not the default ones).

There are actually new useful features like shortcuts to non-apps.
It's flexibility (with some programing) allows you to even make other functions like shortcuts to bluetooth, IR, new contacts, calls etc.

The separate TaskMan and FileMan also have their good points. The new separate versions actually have new capabilities compared to the embedded file and task manager in Tracker 2.

And it's quite simple to create a shortcut in Tracker 3 to run those apps just like the old one.

Now the Bad Part.

The new shortcut saving system is bad. 1) becuase different skins have different number of pages (page names, size, etc.) you will have to create a set of shortcuts for every skin.

Hi all,
In fact, Tracker 3.0 is too heavy for a small Phone computer like P800. It requires too much storage space and RAM for the purpose. Nevertheless, my criticism is concerned with it's DayView. I use P800 extensively as a phone and organiser. Tracker's DayView is not practical in use. Other criticism has been posted (less "personal" customization, different short-cuts for different skins, etc.) I wished the good new features, e.g., speed SMS, would have been implemented in version 2. FileMan and TaskMan as seperate apps is good since these are often repeated in other apps. My current configuration is: HandyDay (it has a Task manager) + Stacker (it has FileMan). This way, I save almost 500KB of storage space and a lot of RAM and still work faster! If I would ever need an app launcher, I will install Tracker 1.0. So, Tracker 3.0 is down from my phone!
regards
