I have just got a China made USB bluetooth device..It is used driver and utility software XTNDCOnnect Blue Manager from Windigo.

I now can get the Bluetooth modem working without any problem, but XTNDConnect PC for Ericsson can not find my T68 phone. I have tried few suggestions from this forum's user who used different USB Bluetooth device. But still can not get it work...

According to XTNDConnect Blue Manager, my bluetooth is on serial port 9, I went in Phone Monitor reserved and enabled it, but this procedure seems useless. I don't know why...

Anyone has a clue?

Just curious. How much did you pay for the BT device?

~=US$75

Hi z00.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the Ericsson XTNDConnect freeware only works in iRDA and cable.

I also have a USB bluetooth adapter but can't synch with my MS Outlook. Have to use iRDA.

No, I think many people here get the blue tooth (eg 3COM USB) work with XTNDconnect PC for Ericsson..

Hi z00. That was news to me.

I was checking the threads. This might help. Actually haven't tried it yet but will later this afternoon.

Check out this topic: 3com usb bluetooth, xp and a t68

Any Luck, I tried many times but no luck at all..

I actually have been using my 3com Bluetooth USB to send .gif files from my laptop to my t68. Tried to synch outlook with t68 but I couldn't get the thing to work. I then checked the XTNDConnect software and it only states the use of a cable or iRDA. Gave up after that, until I came across your post.

Tried the suggestions from the thread I mentioned but still no luck. I did get a positive response in that both laptop and phone were connected. But then again the mere fact I could send .gif before already says a lot about both being connected. As to synching, still no luck. Let me know if you get it to work.

Hey z00, did you try that website www.yiapap.com form one of the threads?

Don't know if it'll work for me. I do use a 3com USB. Will try it out when I have a little time.

With my TDK BT Card I have to open the COM port to the phone before SendFile allows me to select a file. Try this.

I have the same problem. I just got a CF card from Cyber-blue, it works well with My pockectPC, and no problem with a CF/PC card adapter for gprs modem connection. But MPM just cannot find my phone. As it mentioned in XTNDConnect PC that it works only with IR and serial, but from my understanding, but real port and virtual port are serial port. Any one has a work around that makes it work? Or any one makes any BT works with XTNDConnect's Blue Manager?

Btw, I read an article that USB dongle from MSI works with XTNDConnect PC.

SE just released a new MyPicture:
http://wap.sonyericsson.com/emi_download/MyAnimation/SonyEricssonMyPictures.exe

And a new MPM comes with this package, MPM1,0,0,624. Unfortunately, MPM still cannot find T68 via the vitural COM port provided by XTNDConnect's blue Manager from Cyber Blue CF/PC card.

But the symptom changed:
1.With previous MPM, nothing happened with the cyber blue card.
2.With new MPM, the card On and Off in certain interval when enable the virtual port at MPM, seems MPM is open and listen. In a regular operation e.g. GPRS dial, Blue Manager will ask which device you'll communicate to but MPM doesn't active blue manager to initialize the commnunication with BT device. Whatever, seems it's a progress and I'm just waiting for newer MPM than 1.0.0.624?

I feel myself a little bit annoying but I just raised an idea about this.

This problem should not be what kind of BT card/dongle you use, but the driver software and MPM of SE.

In this case, it's issue of XTNDConnect Blue Manager and MPM. If there is anyone has successful story with this combination, I believe mine will work as well.

Have you seen these instructions on the Sony Ericsson web site?

Enabling Communication on Windows® systems

Download a manual to help explain how to install Communication. You will need Acrobat Reader to view this document.

Download Communication manual

The link is on the right hand side of this page:

http://www.sonyericsson.com/a/index.htm?frameset1.htm,image_editor_download.htm
(will have to cut and paste link)

Its pretty basic info, but if it helps . . .

I use an Epox Bluetooth dongle, which comes with the Widcomm drivers. It's $30 to $40 US, and seems to work OK for me on Windows XP Professional.

Thanks fro post. Actually I know how to set MPM and tried every combination.

One progress, the TDK mobile from TDK systems can use Blue Manager to connect T68 via BT virtual serial port.

Only thing I can say is that both Blue Manager from XConnect and MPM are sucks. And it's also strange that XConnect is the softwarea bundled with SE.

I had the same problem, I have now however managed to get it to work.

You need version 2.0 of the XTND Connect Bluemanger software, I managed to find it here

XTNDConnect%20Blue%20Manager.exe

I've seen the Blue Manager 2.0 download in a few places, including at the www.windigosys.com support page. But they all require a password to unzip. Anybody know it?

I eventually got by t68i and computer synching via bluetooth (d-link adaptor):

1. Connect a serial port on you phone via "bluetooth places"
2. Enable that COM port under "Phone Monitor Options" under Control Panel

XTDNconnectPC then worked. (Seemed slower than IR though)

See link here:
