o2 prepay GRPS setup - help please!

I can get my PC to connect to o2 GRPS over bluetooth through my T68i (using settings from sonyericsson.com), but then once i'm connected, i can't access web pages or sign into msn messenger - basically do anything internet related. GSM access works fine; does anyone have any ideas why GRPS might not be working?

turns out i have the classic problem of only being able to access o2.co.uk. is there a definitive fix for this? i can't seem to find one by searching the forums.
