I like the SGH-i700 mobile windows phone but haven't seen any pictures that shows it size compared to other pocketpc phones

the competition is getting hotter...
...right

and also SAMSUNG`s phones have less failure as other phones..
..very good colors and camaras..

and SAMSUNG = GOOD CHOICE

Could someone give me a brief rundown as to what makes the sgi505 so good as i have not got internet access. Tia

Posted by jacque
the Samsung SGH-i505 is as concept the same like
Samsungu SGH-i500 (3 band GSM/GPRS), but different will be the TFT roll on display..
..this way present it the SAMSUNG.

So far, these are the specs we have of it:

Rotating Screen
Palm OS version 5
vga camera
touch screen
clamshell design which is good for protecting screen
SD slot
bluetooth and WiFi

i guess the only real downside is the size (when closed it is 4 inches long)

Posted by kev.morris
4 inches is not that much bigger than my t610... As long as it is not 4 inches thick! Could this be my first non se phone??

Posted by dobi
sorry, i think i was a bit unclear. when u talk on ur t610 its 4 inches long. when u talk on the SGH-i505, u have to open it up (i think) which would be 8 inches, as mentioned before. 8 inches to the side of your face? a bit weird!

Must get online and read more about that phone, but it looks like my new nr.1. Pretty cool phone. Better than Motorola V600.

i think smsung has pretty much captured the clamshell market. thank god im not a clamshell fan or i'd certaily have one by now. thats prolly why they are #2(?) in marketshare rankings

Posted by kev.morris
Me neither but they do protect the screen and stop pocket dialling. I did like the flips on the t28/39

I like very much clamshell phones. I think Samsung are so like clamshell Nokia. They even have the smart messaging like Nokia.

Posted by dobi
the i505 should really be something to look forward to. im sick of hacing amazing samsung phones which have something missing, like bluetooth...

Posted by jacque
..Yes it is (Samsung`s phones are looking forward)

Exciting releases from the Korean maker.

Better try them out before making any purchase decision. Why so cos, the i500 series runs on Palm OS, the D700 series run on Nokia's Series 60 and another P series (if i recall) runs on Pocket PC....

looks like they're making something for everyone ...

..and?
