i am so scared what shall i do i tried pushing the off button but the option to tunr off doesent come up i dont want to yank the batterey out because i will loose all the data.

I think i have discovereed a new fault with the p800!

This is the 'Triangle Of Death'. It states (quite clearly!) that you should hold the power button for 10 seconds to reboot the phone as it has crashed.

I suggest upgrading your firmware to the latest version as this solved my crashing problem when texting.

i did that but the phone turned off now what do i do?

what is a firmware i live in UK i asked the link store if they sell firmware the lady looked confused and said they are out of stock

NIXIN is a faker !! Don't answer that loser
Someone who is playing more (??) stupid then he really is, just trying to be funny and waiting for you to be angry or annoyed with his stupid answer and question...
Didn't you figure it out yourself... it must be this moron of vermania ,or maybe Mixin, he is also used to play little game at this forum, launching hoax and lying ...

erm... switch it back on.

Are you coming the ham here?

@nixin

You may be on the right track to question the firmware version of your phone. The latest firmware should reduce TOD failures. I suggest you call the Sony Ericsson help line on 08705 237237 (UK number) and ask them about which shops in your area will be able to check your firmware and update it if required.

Also, from you post it seems like you have never turned your P800 off in fear of losing your data. Don't worry, its a bit like the hard drive on your PC, when the power is off the data is not lost.

@nixin

That is call the ID ten T error you're having mate! *its so clearly stated to power off!

after todays experiance i have had enough with my p800 i will be returning it to the shop in exchange for a 7250.

P800 is a really stupid device i spent 400 pounds on a memory stick for the handset which wouldnt fit in to later i found out you need special smaller ones and i was unable to get a refund from Dixons as i had opened the packaging.

this phone is awful i will be better off with the Nokia 7250.

If the P800 cost you £400 I assume you bought it SIM free. The Nokia 7250 is about £270 therefore you should a lot of change!

Edit: oops should've have read that the £400 for was the memory stick. For £400 it must be a man size stick!

To be fair to Mixin he is indeed the best faker since Fakey McFake won the Faking town Faking contest. As for Nixin, well he leaves such a bitter taste in one's mouth that if you sucked on a lemon it would contort.
Nixin is always posting a load of complete crap on here and quite frankly its a damned disgrace, more often than not its a complete load of bollo ... what's that? Why yes just panel my entire house in glass please! Oh and have you left me my jumbo sized bag of stones that I ordered?
