I was checking out this software at my symbian last night and while looking at the screenshots, i noticed that the GUI of their p800 seems to be nicer or more delicate the ones we all have.... I am wondering how did they change it?? If anyone knows please share this with us so we can all enjoy the look of our P800s because i am getting bored of that manufacturer GUI.
I have it but can't figure it out for the life of me :/

i do believe those shots were probably taken from within the software developers kit... im only presuming anyway...
so that would mean the shots would appear different to the style that the p800 has

MIXIN is right, this is not a new gui, it is only a developer's environment.

I think you must be new to Esato as I have noticed that you've been asking some basic questions. No problem with that as we all need to start some where! We can't learn without knowing what we don't know.
Regarding your particular question, GUI is short for Graphical User Interface, which is bit inappropriate now days as all interfaces are "graphical" rather than character based (i.e. DOS, origoinal UNIX, etc).

@pimp800
maybe it would be your preference, but in my opinion that interface looks ugly and basic and i wouldnt want that on my p800.

Listen i know that it doesn't look that good but if we can custome make the GUI ourselves, then trust me you r gonna witness some of the best designs the p800 lacks. U understand.

Hey there!
I have a bunch of DAT files which are supposed to to exactly this - to change the look of the GUI:
the color scheme of each P800 is stored under
the filename: Colorscm.dat
and it is situated in: c:\system\data in your P800
I have about 15 + the default one...
Never tried thou....

that does the same thing as the color schemes of handy day

i really don't think that will change the blue part above... that i know, this is only the background color theme

i managed to edit my color scheme to add my own individuality to my p800... it sorta matches my mineral gray cover... i wonder though if SE will release an adriatic blue p800 cover...

you can do that with a program called Colorscheme, nothing special about that.... you can change almost every colors only the virtual filp and the blue above will always stay like that...
