Hi,

I'm am trying to connect my T610 to a laptop with a USB cable. The cable is installed with drivers etc and I have a GPRS modem setup within Windows XP.

When I try to connect to GPRS the phone errors with "GPRS parameters not supported". I've specifed no user name or password from within the connection properties.

Does GPRS need an ISP? Or does Orange take care of that?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
David

well there is a load of threads already about this that you could have read but normally this means that GPRS has not been activated by your carrier, Orange in this case.

This error message appears typically when you are using the wrong APN. Do you have other APNs installed in your phone and, if so, have you selected the correct one (based on the CID)?

yes, that is another reason.

I generally advise people to make sure GPRS is working on the phone, using the email client, before moving to an external device.

This then allows for a known working scenario so any problems then must be in the pc/pda setup rather than the phone setup.
