i was just @ a mobile technology expo and Sony Ericsson confirmed that the official release date of the p900 is the 21st october 2003...
cant wait for official specs..

I don't believe it,that the P900 will release iin 26 October 2003 it is to fast and the info is not 100% true.Give us a link Dragonfly.
I think that the P900 release's in Februari 2004,not 26 October 2003.

The 26th October is NOT Offical! I was mentioned in a review on the P900 on mobile-review. But, that is in no way official, and can at best only be classes as a rumour.

OK, I think if anything that would be the day of the official announcement. I mean the Z600 and rest were announced on Sept 3rd, and none of them are out right. Also, 26th is a Sunday, isn't that a bit odd for a release date?

Why is a Sunday odd? WWII started on a Sunday, isn't that an odd day for a war? (Look everyone, I managed to insert a totally unrelated fact into this conversation).
Seriously though, I would have thought that SE would have wanted to catch the pre-Christmas rush of people desperate to buy overpriced electronic goods for ungrateful friends and relatives.
Not that I'm saying they will announce it in Octover, but it would make a lot of sense for them to release it before Christmas.
P.S The chap who started this thread mentioned the 21st, which would be a Tuesday. Good old Tyr's day, well that should be spiffing for a launch.

@scotsboyuk: Sunday, would be an odd day to release the phone considering stores are closed on Sundays in most countries in Europe. It wouldn't be odd to announce it on that day. Either way, the first post said 21st, I misread it from another latter post.

You're not being pedantic, you're just being subjective. Different nations think of WWII as starting at different times. For the US it's 1941, for the Japanese 1933, for the Germans 1938 (or do Czechoslavakia and Austria not count?).

My nation was not involved in WW2 so subjectivity wasn't the issue but I do see your point and you are right about start dates....except Germany 1938...Austria and the Sudentenland were annexed rather than invaded...the Germans were "welcomed" in both places rather than fought. Germany nowadays recognises Sept 1st as the official start to WW2. It seems as though the price of the P800 is going to drop drastically - to upgrade from the cheapest contract it cost $100 for the P800..

In fact... SE does admit they have a P900 coming !!! And it is quite "official" there they give us all information about the WAP profile of it
