actully the thing i like the most about the N gage is the support for mmc and the audio input jack, and i would most likely trade my p800 for one of these babies, (If they accept SD)

I must admit to being abit of a gadget freak, i want them all the psp (playstation portable), nokia n-gage, the Limited edition silver ps2 due later this month to go next to my Limited edition transparent green X-box, and last but by no means least the P810/P900. my wifes gonna have a fit.

I tested the phone in Vienna last tuesday.
First of all;
forget one-hand-smswriting.
Second;
I would much rather prefer the display in more like a "widescreen"-mode, rather than taller than wide. That sucks. And I also found the display too small for the games. 3D-gaming is very positive, and the game I tested (sonic) ran smoothly. But that doesn't help much as it was difficult to see the objects clearly. And a 4k display isn't exactly state-of-the-art.
Having to remove the battery in order to change mem-card is also a huge design fault by Nokia.
It was fun to see how small my P800 became, compared to the N-Gage...

Ahh yes, one of the providers here has a working demo because they are promoting it... after playing with it for 5 mins I had to put it down and refrain myself from puking... it is dis appointing even for a nokia, i think it was a "oooh quickly we have to beat SE in the mobile arena" type of idea, very poor quality and cheap plastic that squeaks, maybe cuz it's a demo but i doubt it... BOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! however the gameplay was entertaining, but it still sucks as a phone.

to change a game:
-turn off the phone
-remove battery cover
-REMOVE THE BATTERY!
-replace game
-replace battery
-turn on the phone and go through booting process
-go through menu system to get to the game

My friend want that \"phone\", but I don't like it. It will be cheap so I expect to be made from plastics and the games must be a bought one. Payin' 49 euros for a game (as announced, at least here in Portugal) isn't too much attractive.
For that price it had to be a quality game in a quality device, not with a tiny screen.

if you are "Testing" it as you claim which was completed a while ago, and At&t and EB are "Promoting" its upcoming release. Maybe you can tell us why the hell anyone in their right mind would want to put a phone that looks like a taco up to their head sideways? not everyone wants a fin sticking out the side of their head and not everyone would use bluetooth or speaker phone all the time. if you did infact test it, you are telling me that you didnt notice the poor quality abs plastic pieces that squeak? The only thing that didnt was the directional gamepad. Maybe your'e just deaf or a Nokia fan at heart. So far every third party tester that i have found(including the stores reps) does not like the phone for similar reasons, only nokia promoters are ranting and raving... maybe the release of this phone with all its bugs will finally show what nokia really is and force them to start back at the basics and design practical devices that work!!!

E.g. testing is for instance still ongoing. You're right that \"not everyone would like to [whatever]\". Not everyone likes P800 or 7650 for whatever reasons for example. The fact is that many do NOT mind at all and also like it. All tastes are around, you, I can't fight it. Ngage is a completely new concept, and as for anything new, skepticism is at its peak, no can do. But people will like it. Just an example, so many told 3650 would be a failure (too large, strange keypad). Look at the success it has!

Silvery white both front and back covers. (the first ones had also grey (front) and green (back): pretty ugly)
The other alternative is black+black.
Haven't heard of X-press on covers for it, (though you can of course replace it if you break it for instance)...

NO new 3D games for N-gage. N-gage is just a f&%$ device for porting old games and making much money from little children.
Tomb Raider : too old game that we played years ago. Hard to play, no fun at all.
Red Faction: FPS. but not a good one. didnt we play it on PC??
THPS : NOt the 4th... they just ported the old one.
No game company wanted to make a new game... Nokia will make some money and give a percentage to developers for porting their games that we've played years ago...
