sending E-mail - Esato archive

Hi
I have a problem with sending email.
I use a pop3 account, all my settings are correct(at least i think so) because i can receive email but when sending it it finds the server, it connects to the server and it sends.
But after 10 seconds it say's send failed.
can someone help me out?

you cannot send email with smtp server which requires smtp authentication.
