Thanks for the links, MO! They even work directly via the phone's WAP browser.

yeah, they did. in the bbc news link I posted just before your reply they talk about these sounds coming from the British Sound library archives and on the right hand side bar, in the related internet links, they give a link to the archive, and other places that you can get ringtones.

As far as I can tell, all the polyphonic animal tones are only for the Samsung T100 or V200.

does anybody know of any for Ericsson phones?

They're midi files so they should work fine on the T610.

Samsung phones use the mmf format. There is a program that can convert them, but the results are less than spectacular.

So how do I get these onto my phone?

Tried to visit the site thru wap but that didn't work?

Posted by Fritz24
If you've got IR/Bluetooth then right click on the links and do a Save Target As to get them onto your PC. Then just send 'em over.

Posted by chrisgreen82
I'm not going to pay 4 quid for one unless I know for definite that it is going to work!

If you're talking about the links above you won't have to. I downloaded them both to my PC by doing the method I mentioned above.

I've not had a chance to try them on my phone yet as I'm at my work PC which has neither IR or Bluetooth...

I see. Cheers for that Fritz. I'll do that @ home later.

I just tried those two and they're not bad actually. I thought they would be quite quiet. Rainforest is the better of the two as a ringtone as it has longer loud parts than swamp has so will be more noticeable in louder environments.
